2012′s most recognizable faces went low-key and messy for the W Magazine shoot, and shared some at times surprising anecdotes.
Be still, our hearts!
From a high-class affair in the Hamptons to some, let’s just say, wilder red carpets across the pond — who do you think donned the best duds?
Galas for The American Foundation For AIDS Research tend to be filled with fashion people, and as the most recent one, held on Saturday night, coincided with Milan Fashion Week, the models, editors, and personalities were out in full force.
Yesterday was a fine day to break out the bubbly and watch handsome men on horses thwack balls around, don’t you think? It seems quite a few celebs were on our wavelength as well, as they trekked out to New Jersey’s Liberty State Park for the 2012 Veuve Cliquot Polo Classic, sporting many-a wide-brimmed hat and summery sundress.
Matthew Williamson celebrated the launch of his diffusion collection for Macy’s in New York’s Herald Square last night. And while Harley Viera-Newton deejayed, muses Kelis (who performed later in the evening) and Dree Hemingway modeled the line on the red carpet. Which, naturally, begs the question: who wore it better?
From the eagle eyes over at StyleCaster comes this hilarious video in which model Dree Hemingway, Pixie Geldof and designer Henry Holland spoof the various home shopping channels — in a not-so-subtle, sexual, day-glo kind of way.
Last night, John Galliano and a gaggle of his muses celebrated the reopening of Dior’s flagship store at 57th Street in New York City but also the appointment of Natalie Portman as the new face of the brand.
Last night Elle celebrated Tinseltown’s elite at their Women in Hollywood celebration. Vets like Diane Keaton and Goldie Hawn mixed with the younger set, which included Mad Men‘s adorable Kiernan Shipka (who looked like she walked right off the set in her retro frock). The fashionable crowd included Sofia Coppola (classy in black and white), Rachel Zoe (fabulous in fur), Gwyneth Paltrow (punchy in tangerine) and many more.
Last night, we attended Ferragamo’s launch party for their new women’s fragrance, Attimo, held on the roof of New York’s latest spot-to-be-seen Standard Hotel. And while the views were certainly beautiful, the first thing to catch our eye was the face of the fragrance, Dree Hemingway and the metallic pewter, Halston-esque dress she wore, the plunging v-neck of which she paired with an olive green bandeau top.
Dree Hemingway arrived at Thursday night’s annual amfAR gala looking sun-kissed and wearing a champagne and neon body-hugging mini by Valentino Couture. More eye-catching than the dress, however, were her perfectly matching shoes.
It’s finally spring and the March issues are piling into mailboxes. Skipping in delightfully comes i-D’s three-cover Spring issue, featuring three of our favorites: Prada’s model of choice, Sasha Pivovarova; Danish model Freja Beha; and Russian superstar Natalia Vodianova.
