Duchess Catherine Page 2
Whoa, we weren’t kidding when we heralded the Return of the Duchess! Not only is there the whole Kate Middleton Vogue cover debate, we also got wind of the fact that Duchess Catherine went shopping at Topshop where she had “a huge handful of rewards card”. WHOA!
Yesterday the internet was abuzz with OMG KATE MIDDLETON VOGUE COVER rumblings, thanks to a dishy little item in Page Six. Today we’ve learned that the palace is denying any such thing, but we’re not totally buying it.
Just last week we were lamenting the lack of Kate Middleton style posts. We miss the Duchess and her pretty dresses! Well, our prayers were answered. This weekend both Catherine and Pippa attended a friend’s wedding, and now we get to talk about the clothes.
The royal wedding dress exhibit at Buckingham Palace is proving to be just as popular as expected. Over 354,000 people have visited since the dress went on display July 23rd! We guess most people don’t share the Queen’s belief that the whole thing is horrid and creepy?
The royal couple’s trip to the States may be brief (they’re leaving today…sad face), but they’re certainly making the most of it. Last night the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge rubbed shoulders with members of the Hollywood elite at the glamourous BAFTA “Brits to Watch” gala in Los Angeles.
After a successful Canadian tour full of lovely sleeved dresses, maple leaves, and only one wardrobe malfunction, Kate Middleton has arrived on American soil for the very first time. Welcome, Duchess Catherine!
Yesterday the royal family celebrated Queen Elizabeth II‘s 85th birthday with a fancy procession at Buckingham Palace. Today they celebrated Prince Philip‘s 90th birthday with a church service and reception at Windsor Castle. This was certainly not as fancy, but a church service means church hats!
Courtesy titles being the very important thing that they are, we couldn’t help but notice how many people are angry with us for not calling the girl who used to be Kate Middleton the right thing. Some have emailed to say she’s supposed to be called a duchess, others have text messaged drunkenly to cast their vote for team princess. Obviously, we needed a solution to this pressing problem, so we asked the person we thought would know best, British handbag designer Lulu Guinness.
Can we just tell you how much we relate to Kate Middleton right now? We know she’s royalty and everything, but the girl is just real. So real, in fact, that during her official royal tour of Canada beginning at the end of June, she’s going to pick out all her clothes. By herself!
We’ve known for a while now that the Royal Couple‘s first offcial trip would be to Canada (with a short stopover in Los Angeles!) but now we know, to the day, where they’ll be and when they’ll be there.
Miss any fashion news this week? From Pippa Middleton‘s repeat McQueen dress to everything that went down at the Met Gala, we’ve got you covered. We also have the video for Lady Gaga‘s Judas, just in case you were wondering.
Duchess Catherine is just like us! No, seriously. The newly minted duchess was spotted on Thursday doing her own grocery shopping in Waitrose, a grocery story on the Welsh island of Anglesey, where she now lives with her husband Prince William. And in a wardrobe choice we find really refreshing, Middleton ditched any signals of regality and turned up in a pair of skinny jeans, a plain white t-shirt and a green knitted wrap.
There are hats, and then there are hats, and the ones atop the heads of the attendees of today’s Royal Wedding were most certainly wearing the latter. From chic chapeaus that perfectly complemented the dresses they were paired with to absurdly curly, feathery creations that looked more like they wanted to bite you than to stay on top of a princess’s head, the hats on display this morning were so stunning (and so frightening) that we haven’t been able to compose ourselves well enough to put them in a post. Until now! Herein, the greatest moments in millinery from the wedding of Duchess Catherine and Prince William.
