Taking cues from the success of Target‘s high fashion collaborations, JC Penney has tapped Nigerian-born and London-based designer Duro Olowu for a collaboration slated to hit its stores next month.
Making a list of people who you think is going to change the fashion world is a tenuous assignment, especially because there are so many people doing so many wonderful things. But when we think about the Black people who are important to that world right now, there are a number of them who stand out as people who can make lasting contributions not only to fashion, but also to the way society thinks about Black people’s role in it.
