PHOTOS: Poodle Walks The Runway For Lanvin Hearts H&M
On Thursday night, Alber Elbaz and his game-changing collection for Lanvin Hearts H&M checked into New York City’s Pierre Hotel, where fashionistas, fashion bloggers, and fashion designers feted the line’s launch with a couture show and shopping party fit for a queen.
PHOTOS: Who Was Venice Film Festival’s Best Dressed?
Between all the brouhaha surround New York Fashion Week, Fashion’s Night Out, and the Toronto Film Festival, one wouldn’t be remiss in forgetting all about Venice. But contrary to popular belief, the Venice Film Festival has been trucking along at a very fashionable rate, complete with today’s closing ceremony. Now that it’s finally over, we’ve collected our thoughts — and our judgements! — and put together a gallery of what we think are some of Venice’s most fashionable moments. Who do you think was best dressed?
Natalie Portman And Elisa Sednaoui Face Off In Venice
On Wednesday, Natalie Portman and cast celebrated the premiere of Darren Aronofsky’s The Black Swan at the 67th Annual Venice Film Festival. And while she isn’t in the movie, model Elisa Sednaoui certainly made herself equally known in a dramatic black ball gown with soft feather detailing. But here’s the question: who looked better?
Chanel’s Cruise Show And All The Fun We’re Missing In St. Tropez
I don’t know what you’ve been doing all day, but I’ve been refreshing two things: Derek Blasberg’s Twitter feed and our Getty Image search for “Chanel Cruise Collection Presentation.” And while the photos are a little slow to load, Blasberg has been tweeting it up so much we almost feel like we’re there. (Except we’re not. We’re at a desk in a building in SoHo and he’s in St. Tropez watching models arrive on motorcycles, but more on that later.) So, while we wait for the photos, what has Blasberg’s dizzy tweeting taught us?
Postcards From St. Tropez: Karl And Co. Are Having a Ball
Karl Lagerfeld is nothing if not a genius at generating buzz and — with his models set to storm the runways of St. Tropez in a matter of hours — the rumors certainly are swirling. Unfortunately, we can’t confirm or deny any of it, because sadly — very, very sadly — our invitation to frolic with the Kaiser in the south of France seems to have gotten lost in the mail. Oh, what we would all give to be lounging on a monogrammed Chanel towel, drinking champagne beach side. Instead we’re stuck here in New York, left to live vicariously through photo-blogger Garance Dore’s insanely enviable snaps from last night’s pre-party.

Okay, so we’re a little obsessed with models and magazines and fashion spreads. Which is why we’re thrilled to see Italian model Elisa Sednaoui, shot by photographer Laura Sciacovelli in Marie Claire Italia’s April 2010 issue, for a spread titled Exotica.
