elle fanning Page 2
We want to be a Fanning. Elle and Dakota look stunning on the December cover of W, and they share lots of fashion thoughts with Lynn Hirschberg inside the magazine.
‘Tis the season of sisterly love, apparently. First the Olsens nab the cover (and honor!) of Vogue’s Best Dressed issue, and now W’s December cover has leaked and, guess who’s on the cover? The dynamic teen duo that is Dakota and Elle Fanning.
Style icon Chloë Sevigny has lots of interesting things to say, which is why we read practically every interview she does. Her latest, with Bullett, teaches us all about Sevigny’s childhood, her favorite things, and the actress-designer’s feelings toward Snooki.
We hate to pit two of our favorite teenagers/actresses/people against one another, but we have no other choice. Elle Fanning in head-to-toe Chanel vs. Hailee Steinfeld in head-to-toe Chanel…GO!
We’re not sure who votes in the Hollywood Film Awards Gala, but it sure made for a delightful red carpet. Elle Fanning debuted a giant braid, Carey Mulligan modeled the definition of an LBD, Emma Stone embraced the roaring ’20s, Amber Heard finally did Roksana Ilincic some justice (remember poor Dianna Agron’s blue abomination at the Emmys?), Anne Hathaway sparkled in Erdem, and Michelle Williams looked a tad overdressed in full-length Nina Ricci.
This was the week of eyebrows, Tavi, and scary feet. This was also the week we saw the best royal wedding ever and were reintroduced to Derek Zoolander. Plus, Kanye visited Occupy Wall Street in Balmain and Givenchy. Sure.
If being jealous of a pair of teenage girls is wrong, then we don’t want to be right. We’ve dedicated a lot of words to praising web phenom Tavi Gevinson and an almost equal amount to the ethereal adorableness that is Elle Fanning, so you can imagine our tween-at-heart brains almost exploded when we saw that Tavi had interviewed Elle for her new site, Rookie.
This week Kate Moss got the Carrie Bradshaw treatment and Kate Middleton wore a floral pancake hat. LOVE Magazine totally ruled, plus-size model secrets were exposed, and Rachel Zoe‘s baby son got us all envious. Also, OMFG Mariah Carey.
Elle Fanning remains the coolest tween we know (er, wish we knew), and her latest cover only furthers our case.
This was the week we welcomed Kate Middleton to the States! She looked awesome in McQueen, but her visit wasn’t without controversy. We also got our regular fashion-filled doses of Justin Bieber, Emma Watson, and Kanye — plus a surprise Sarah Jessica Parker reappearance.
Marc Jacobs is all about the Fanning sisters — and admittedly, so are we. Dakota is starring in his Oh, Lola! fragrance ads, but younger sis Elle landed the fall Marc by Marc Jacobs campaign. And now all the images are here!
This was the week of hats! So many awesome hats! This was also the week Anna Wintour accepted a Webby, Lady Gaga‘s meat dress went on display, and Carolina Herrera was confirmed as Twilight‘s wedding dress designer. And have you seen Elle Fanning‘s stunning Marie Claire editorial? Because you should.
Another day, another set of photos in which Elle Fanning looks beautifully adorable. In today’s edition, she’s wearing a minty-blue, pastel-y turquoise floral confection from Marc Jacobs‘ 2012 Resort showing — and yes, that’s this year’s collection. Only right off the runway for this Fanning. Anyway! Let’s take a look, shall we?
Elle Fanning totally rules. The girl has enviable red carpet style, but she also has a genuine appreciation for fashion.
Last night saw Country Music Television Awards as well as the premiere of J.J. Abrams‘ new mysterious monster flick, Super 8. While the former meant lots of fake tan, unremarkable garb, and Nicole Kidman, the latter meant Elle Fanning. And in case you didn’t know, she’s totally, like, fashion’s fave It Girl right now. Jaime King was also there and both she and Kidman wore Proenza Schouler, which is why it’s a best dressed face-off between them and Elle. Begin!
MTV award shows are a whole lot looser than most, and that’s always reflected in the red carpet fashion. Where else could Lady Gaga wear a dress made of meat? Last night’s MTV Movie Awards were no exception. Celebs went short and funky, bright and sparkly, and we have a roundup of the night’s most memorable ensembles just for you!
If Natalia Vodianova invited us to a slumber party, we would totally attend. Wouldn’t you? Elle Fanning, Hailee Steinfeld, and Chloe Moretz sure would.
If you thought Elle Fanning was the only fanning sister getting fashion campaigns these days, you were mistaken. Dakota Fanning has reprised her role as Marc Jacobs teenage muse by posing for what appear to be new ads for Jacobs’ fragrance Lola.
Opening Ceremony is one of our favorite stores, and their newest collaboration has everyone worked up into quite an excited frenzy. Why? Because Rodarte is the latest brand to team up with Carol and Humberto (fun fact: the pair actually met the Mulleavy sisters back in their Berkeley days).
Last night’s Critics’ Choice Movie Awards saw celebs break out some fabulous duds as they walked the seriously star-studded red carpet. This awards season has us obsessing over Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis and Michelle Williams ad nauseum, but we’re also loving seasoned vets like Julianne Moore and fresh faces like Emma Stone and Elle Fanning.
