Carine Roitfeld‘s abrupt departure from French Vogue‘s masthead still has us scratching our heads, but we’re less anxious to hear who will replace her than the rest of the fashion world. Industry sources told WWD today that we could hear an announcement as early as next week. The front runners? Emmanuelle Alt, at left, and Virginie Mouzat.

Kate Snags Cover, Models Swimwear For French Vogue

We know that we write about Kate Moss a lot, but we simply don’t have a choice. She astounds us daily with her chicness. The model may be pushing forty years old, but we don’t care. [Ed note: She's only 36!] And apparently neither does anyone else. Thankfully, magazine editors still believe in her elegance and grace. We would want to see no one else on Vogue Paris’ June/July 2010 cover.
