Azzedine Alaïa has been working in fashion for two decades now and apparently he’s getting a little sick of the industry pressure. The man made famous to so many Gen X and Yers by a single quote in Clueless, was quoted today in Women’s Wear Daily as saying the fashion calendar in its current iteration is “inhumane.”

Fashion Week’s New Dates Cause Drama For Rosh Hashanah
This year, the dates set by the CFDA for Fashion Week fall on the holiest dates on the Jewish calendar. Fashion Week is slated to run from September 9th-16th, while Rosh Hashanah begins at sundown on the 7th and carries on for the following two days. And yes, that poses a bit of a problem.
