French Elle Page 1
You saw a sneak peak of the highly-anticipated, Karl Lagerfeld-lensed editorial earlier this week, but now Victoria Beckham‘s entire spread and cover for French Elle are out. Check out the rest of the images after the jump!
Earlier this summer, Victoria Beckham tweeted some behind-the-scenes pics of her Karl Lagerfeld-lensed photoshoot for French Elle inside Coco Chanel‘s home on Rue Cambon. We got a glimpse at the fancy hair accessories and clothes, which were Chanel couture, naturally, and now, we’ve got another sneak peek at her spread.
We like Kristen Stewart. However, we do not like her magazine covers.
Just a month after a Dutch fashion magazine’s editor-in-chief quit after using an uncouth racial slur to describe Rihanna‘s style, a writer for French Elle has caused controversy with a blog post positing that for Black people, dressing well is a brand new concept.
When we saw the words “Carla Bruni” and “Pregnant” and “ELLE France Cover” in the same sentence, we got a little (embarrassingly) excited. Carla Bruni! Pregnant! On the cover of ELLE France! In the words of Chandler Bing, could there be a more perfect Styleite story? And then we saw the whole cover.
BREAKING: Brights are in for spring. That’s the lesson we think we’re supposed to learn from the cover of the newest edition of French Elle. What else are we supposed to take away from the bifold? Well, the 70s are here again (again!), the Farah Fawcett haircut still reigns supreme after all these years, and if your bangles aren’t dyed to match your platform espadrilles, they don’t deserve to see the light of day.
You may remember that super-gorgeous, stir-creating French Elle in which iconic German lensman Peter Lindbergh captured the likes of Eva Herzigova, Ines de la Fressange, and a slew of European actresses with little to no makeup (as if they needed it) and minimal photoshop work. Word is, Lindbergh — ever the photographic proponent of all things au natural — is at it again, training his lens on models in a similar spread for the French glossy this week.
