Tom Ford may not like fat people, but he definitely has a thing for the olds. The December issue of Vogue Paris — which, unless you have been living under a fashion blog-less rock for the last few weeks, you know was guest-edited by Mr. Ford himself — features a seven-page jewelry spread modeled by two beautiful senior citizens in the throes of what appears to be an incredibly passionate bout of love-making. In other words: geriatric porn!
Tom Ford‘s December issue of Vogue Paris is shaping up to be a doozy. In addition to putting himself on the cover and wearing a Native American headdress, Ford shot Crystal Renn for a perils of plastic surgery spread, styled by Carine Roitfeld and terrifying in both its fantasy and accuracy.
The fashion industry is in the midst of what may or may not be a one-sided love affair (also known as a crush, perhaps) with Native American tradition and dress. First fringe, feathers, and headdresses stormed the catwalks, then both magazines and popstars embraced the trend, and finally TopShop sent their buyers on a Native American field trip. Which brings us to Tom Ford, the most recent fashion luminary to appropriate the headdress as a fashion-forward accessory.
