Garance Dore Page 1
Garance Doré wrote the sweetest Mad Libs-style thank-you note to her readers Thursday, and we were so overcome with love we simply had to reciprocate.
Garance Doré proves that she knows exactly just how much to share. In an interview with The Talks, the French blogger answers practically every question we’d ever want to ask her, and than some, putting it all ever so gracefully — which is a feat when topics like sex, reality TV, Woody Allen, and narcissistic social media sharing are on the table. Side note: She makes us feel better about our tendency to edit our lives to err on the side of bon vivant.
Stella McCartney is one of those kickass designers that we just can’t get enough of. As such, she gets the honor of being profiled in Garance Doré‘s latest episode of “Pardon My French”, and naturally, we just became more obsessed with the designer.
For those who think imitation is the best form of flattery, well, you’ve never seen this video.
Garance Doré‘s video series “Pardon My French” is full of adorable clips. In this installment, she heads over to Proenza Schouler‘s studios to witness a model casting first hand.
If it feels like it was just the other day you were reading about Scott Schuman‘s distaste for print media and Dolce & Gabbana‘s blog-courting press stunts, that’s probably because it was! In the meantime, however, it seems he’s changed his tune – or at least mellowed out a bit in preparation for his interview with none other than Swide, Dolce & Gabbana’s in-house blog.
And we totally agree with them.
Garance Doré leads a fairly fabulous French lady life, and now she’s letting us in on how she spends Fashion Week.
Tiffany‘s What Makes Love True theme is being helped along by some street style photos taken by none other that Scott Schuman (the man you know as the Sartorialist) and Garance Dore. The couple seem so innately in sync and in love that we felt compelled to ask Schuman at a party Tiffany threw this week, how on earth do you keep your relationship going?
Today Scott Schuman gave an interview that blew our minds in a really horrible way, and proved that the man behind The Sartorialist is cripplingly out of touch.
Both New York and Paris are considered world fashion capitals, and both cities are near and dear to designer Sophie Theallet‘s heart. But which city is chicest?
Garance Dore and Scott Schuman are a match made in blogging heaven — and it was only a matter of time before one of them moved in with the other. So now that Dore has moved from Paris to a new loft the couple shares in New York’s Greenwich village, will there be a turf war over who gets to photograph the city’s coolest people?
Halloween is officially next week, which means you need to start getting creative or resort to dressing like a slutty bunny/cat/pirate like you do every year. But if you’re reading Styleite (which, if you didn’t know, you are!), you’re probably a person of discerning taste. You don’t want to wear just any old costume, you want to look like the fashionable lady or gent that you are. Thus, we bring you: Halloween costumes for the fabulous fashionista (or fashionisto!).
One half of the world’s chicest blogger power couple, Garance Doré always looks suitably stylish. But you know what? Street style bloggers: they’re just like us! How so, you ask?
Every morning when I get dressed, I wonder if my outfit would be Bill Cunningham-approved. And I am certainly not the only one.
Garance Doré might be our favorite style blogger out there — and that’s not just because she’s ranked third on our Power Grid. It because despite the fact that she sits front row at fashion shows, travels the world, and is dating the inimitable Scott Schuman, she still has time to write blog posts like this.
Style blogger Garance Doré is #2 on our power grid for a reason: she knows how to make waves in the online fashion world! The fashion illustrator recently posted a blog entry explaining a list of fashion terms of which her friend and founder of Velour magazine, Violaine Bernard, declared “passé.” But if this keeps up we’ll have nothing but conjunctions and pronouns to choose from!
Karl Lagerfeld is nothing if not a genius at generating buzz and — with his models set to storm the runways of St. Tropez in a matter of hours — the rumors certainly are swirling. Unfortunately, we can’t confirm or deny any of it, because sadly — very, very sadly — our invitation to frolic with the Kaiser in the south of France seems to have gotten lost in the mail. Oh, what we would all give to be lounging on a monogrammed Chanel towel, drinking champagne beach side. Instead we’re stuck here in New York, left to live vicariously through photo-blogger Garance Dore’s insanely enviable snaps from last night’s pre-party.
Coinciding with her Australian fashion illustration exhibit, Winter With Westfield, Garance Dore sat down with fellow fashion blogger Patty Huntington to talk fashion, blogging, and what it feels like to sit at the front row next to, you know, some editor in chief of a little magazine called French Vogue. Dore also reveals that, in spite of the perks, it’s not all sunshine and air-kisses when it comes to covering the shows.
