Givenchy Bows Out Of Paris Couture Again
We understand that Riccardo Tisci has had his hands full. While designing multiple Givenchy collections, he’s taken on stagewear for Beyoncé and Rihanna, ballet costumes for the Opéra Garnier, as well as co-chaired the Met Gala — for which he designed many red carpet looks, including one infamous floral sofa dress for a very pregnant Kim Kardashian. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, right? That seems to be Riccardo Tisci’s thinking for his fall 2013 Givenchy campaign, which revives last season’s all-in-the-family theme. This time, however, instead of Mariacarla Boscono and her brand new baby, he’s tapped a mother and daughter pair that can both don the line in Carine Roitfeld and Julia Restoin Roitfeld, along with muse Amanda Seyfried, actor Quim Gutiérrez, and models Mariano Ontañon and Dalianah Arekion. Riccardo Tisci Defends Kim Kardashian’s ‘Beautiful’ Met Gala Gown
We certainly weren’t the only ones who put Kim Kardashian on our worst dressed lists after Monday night’s Met Gala. After all, let’s be honest: the sofa memes practically made themselves. But designer Riccardo Tisci is sticking staunchly by his vision, telling WWD that the floral, formfitting, custom Givenchy gown was the perfect mix of romance and rebellion and that Kardashian was “the most beautiful pregnant woman” he has ever dressed.
WATCH: Amanda Seyfried’s Givenchy Commercial Is Here!
Less than a week after Amanda Seyfried was announced as the new face of Givenchy’s Very Irrésistible fragrance, her debut spot has hit the web. But while she and Riccardo Tisci have proven to be quite the formidable force on the red carpet at the Golden Globes, Vanity Fair party, and, of course, last night’s Met Gala, we’re not so sure the 45-second ad is quite as irresistible as the name might suggest.

Rihanna Receives An Extra Special Tee From Riccardo Tisci
We’re not sure we’d want to walk around wearing a t-shirt with our own face on it, but if it were a custom design from Riccardo Tisci? Then maybe we’d reconsider.
Riccardo Tisci Renews His Givenchy Contract
While the rest of the fashion industry continues the ongoing game of musical chairs that has brought shakeups at the helms of Saint Laurent, Dior, Balenciaga, and Jil Sander, we can breathe easy knowing that at least one of our favorite designers is staying put for a while.
Givenchy Isn’t Showing A Spring 2013 Couture Collection
For the lucky editors who will be attending the couture shows in Paris in late January, there’ll be a big gap in the schedule due to the announcement that Givenchy will not present a collection to the press. It’s a sad day, you guys.

Which Les Mis Lady Looked Best At The World Premiere?
Asking us to choose between Balenciaga and Givenchy is usually like asking us to pick a favorite child…you know, if we had children. But at tonight’s world premiere of Les Misérables in London, Anne Hathaway and Amanda Seyfried stepped out dressed to the nines in creations by Riccardo Tisci and Nicolas Ghesquiére, and, in a strange turn of events, we weren’t particularly blown away by either look.
