Graydon Carter Page 1
For the first time in three years, editors and executives at everyone’s favorite luxury magazine publisher Conde Nast felt confident enough in their bottom lines that they all went to the Four Seasons for a holiday party! And they served industry gossip and corporate intrigue right alongside fashion’s favorite food, chicken pot pie.
This week Scott Schuman and Britney Spears got in trouble, Dolce & Gabbana got out of trouble, and Jessica Simpson just got paid. Christian Siriano and Rachel Zoe made headlines, too. Also, Legos!
The last thing we’d ever want to call Vanity Fair editor-in-chief Graydon Carter is square, but it’s not an adjective he’s afraid to apply to himself. Carter jokingly called himself square because, even though he co-hosted the Christie’s Bid to Save The Earth auction this week, he had never heard of its surprise musical guest, Nicki Minaj.
We always wondered how magazines within the same publishing houses avoided putting the same celeb on the same cover in the same month. And we found out this morning that at Conde Nast, it’s Graydon Carter‘s way or the highway.
