Ever since Sarah Jessica Parker and a slew of other A-list people left Halston earlier this summer, people have been questioning whether or not the brand can go on. But if you take a look back at Halston’s history, you’re likely to find that the company has had its fair share of trouble, and not just recently.
Talk about a mass exit. According to various reports, Tamara Mellon is the latest high profile executive to leave the ill-fated fashion label Halston, which also lost Sarah Jessica Parker, Harvey Weinstein and designer Marios Schwab over the last two weeks.
Designer Marios Schwab is out at Halston, and the designer-level collection he designed is out with him. His departure is the third time in a week that a bold-faced name associated with the brand called it quits. A Vogue profile hinted that Sarah Jessica Parker had left her brief stint as chief creative officer at Halston Heritage, and movie mogul Harvey Weinstein announced Thursday that he’d part ways with the brand, too.
Another day, another change up at Halston. Just yesterday we learned Halston Heritage creative officer Sarah Jessica Parker was out and today it’s speculated the label’s co-owner, movie mogul Harvey Weinstein, is prepping for an exit.
She’s a famous actress, a style icon, a perfumer, and a mom. But Sarah Jessica Parker can cross one thing off her over-achieving resume: chief creative officer at Halston Heritage.
Coupling her roles as Halston Heritage designer and New York City Ballet board member, Sarah Jessica Parker stepped out in a shimmery nude Halston Heritage gown at the Ballet’s fall gala at Lincoln Center. What do you think of her look?
