At last night’s premiere of the second season of Girls, either Hannah, Marnie, Jessa, and Shoshanna totally coordinated their black outfits, or they’ve all come to embrace the New Yorker uniform.
Last night, DKNY unveiled a video collaboration with fashion photographer Enrique Badulescu at New York City’s The Hole Gallery for its newest fragrance, Be Delicious Intense. As much as we raise our eyebrows at fragrance marketing, we’ve gotta say the
video “multi-sensorial experience” is kind of cool.
Models past and present hit the town last night in New York City — those that weren’t across the pond gearing up for Milan Fashion Week, that is.
How have you been getting prepared for New York Fashion Week? Hitting the gym? Loading up on Tommy Ton-ready accessories? Flexing those tweeting fingers? Odds are you’re not still not quite as prepared as this dream team.
Like most people, I like to unwind with friends and drinks after a day in the office. That’s why an invitation to cocktails with Richard Chai at the Dream Downtown on Tuesday evening was right up my alley.
Yesterday was a fine day to break out the bubbly and watch handsome men on horses thwack balls around, don’t you think? It seems quite a few celebs were on our wavelength as well, as they trekked out to New Jersey’s Liberty State Park for the 2012 Veuve Cliquot Polo Classic, sporting many-a wide-brimmed hat and summery sundress.
Let’s take a break from the fancy gowns at Cannes to check out the low-key (but equally as great) looks at the Museum of Modern Art‘s Party in the Garden benefit in New York last night.
At last night’s DKMS Linked Against Blood Cancer Gala in New York City, the ladies turned it out on the red carpet.
In-between collections — pre-fall and resort — are typically more commercial than what we see on the runway during the fall and spring shows. They are considered safer, less dramatic. Thankfully, this was not the case with Zac Posen‘s latest collection. Gowns for everyone!
On Tuesday, designer Dennis Basso unveiled his Spring/Summer 2011 collection at New York Fashion Week. Basso is known for working with and focusing on fur — which is why there were eight police officers outside the tents and every guest had their bag checked for paint — but somehow we were still surprised by the amount of animal skin-as-material we saw in a collection intended to be worn in warm weather.
What is it with fashion and sports lately? If things keep going at this rate, we may as well just merge with SportsGrid and call ourselves SportsStyleGridIte or something. Anyway, while V magazine was busy photographing models as soccer WAGs and designers were busy throwing money at Wimbledon, model Hilary Rhoda was busy sharing her athletic prowess with fans at Friday’s Nationals game in D.C.
Wednesday night in New York City saw a host of events, but a few in particular caught our eye both for their star-studded invite list and the resulting sartorial stylings. From Tara Subkoff’s questionable leather shorts to Shenae Grimes’ absolute trainwreck of an outfit, it was a good night in pictures. Hilary Rhoda and Coco Rocha face-off in fashion wars, Lourdes does the step and repeat in a rocker chic pair of ripped nylons, and Melissa George goes for the double header outfit swap. Enjoy!
The editors of Sports Illustrated are bringing Swimsuit fans a 256 page collection of some of the best photographs from Walter Iooss Jr.’s swimsuit photos, spanning the last 47 years.
