Boobs and booze make for a pretty perfect pair — just ask beer advertisers. Clearly, i-D agrees, since in their spring 2013 issue, Dutch model Lara Stone goes topless, shielding her chest (just barely) with two strategically-placed glasses of red wine. And that might just be the most normal “outfit” she wears in the spread.
We truly didn’t think it was possible to one-up Dazed and Confused‘s Iris Apfel cover, but by golly i-D might just have done it!
For i-D‘s fall Role Model issue, we’ve been gifted with not one, not even five, but sixteen different covers featuring some major faces. We wonder how long it took to schedule and plan the photoshoots?
Last week, we lamented the non-hedonistic nature of Stella Tennant‘s cover for the summer issue of i-D. Thankfully, the issue actually has several covers, and the others are more in keeping with the hedonism theme. Allow us to pit one of our favorite vets against one of our favorite newcomers: Kristen McMenamy v. Daphne Groeneveld, it is!
After ogling Lady Gaga‘s ethereal Vanity Fair September cover, we couldn’t help but scour the cover archives for some of nudity’s most celebrated moments — forever immortal on the front pages of fashion’s major publications.
In an industry dying to be saved, maybe a little edginess could go a long way. If Elle UK’s June 2010 cover is any indication, editor in chief Lorraine Candy thinks so as well. The magazine’s June cover displays a much more artsy aesthetic with a completely blurred and softly stunning photograph of Kylie Minogue.
It’s finally spring and the March issues are piling into mailboxes. Skipping in delightfully comes i-D’s three-cover Spring issue, featuring three of our favorites: Prada’s model of choice, Sasha Pivovarova; Danish model Freja Beha; and Russian superstar Natalia Vodianova.
