Vogue Australia’s December issue takes actress Isabel Lucas to the Kalahari Desert, in the hopes of giving her “a moment to reflect”. To which we can’t help but ask: reflect on what? The gross absurdity that is wearing a $2,700 suit for a photoshoot with the desert’s indigenous tribe, thousands of which have been relocated by the Botswana government to “resettlement camps” in order to free up access to diamonds discovered under their ancestral lands?
