There’s nothing like stark white or a good old fluorescent to set off a summer tan, and it looks like the ladies of the French Riviera have been spending some time at the beach — or at least getting a very good faux glow. In today’s installment of Cannes Film Festival gorgeousness, see Kylie Minogue, Jessica Chastain, Sharon Stone, and a whole bevy of gussied-up models fête Cleopatra, Chopard, Bulgari, and more.
Jennifer Lawrence must be super grateful that the Oscars are over because she can finally eat. We, meanwhile, can finally assess what the stars wore to the biggest red carpet of the awards show season. Obviously, some ladies fared better than others, and we’ve got the best dressed right here.
They’re almost heeeere! Yes, we’re talking about this Sunday’s Academy Awards, and, perhaps even more importantly, the accompanying red carpet. But even as stars are busy finishing up their fittings, hitting the gym, and penning their acceptance speeches out in Los Angeles, many hit the town last night to fête their respective films. But who looked best? Let’s take a look.
Since the Oscars are next Sunday, we didn’t expect major celebs to make appearances on the red carpet last night or designers to lend out their very best gowns to the stars. Well, we were totally right.
A couple seasons ago at Calvin Klein, we sat in the second row right behind Anna Dello Russo and were an arm’s length away from Emma Stone and Rooney Mara. This season, we were demoted to the third row, but it’s totally cool because we ended up sitting kitty corner from Jessica Chastain and Olivia Wilde.
2012′s most recognizable faces went low-key and messy for the W Magazine shoot, and shared some at times surprising anecdotes.
All in all, this year’s Golden Globe Awards drew a very well-dressed crowd. But no red carpet would be complete without some flubs, and the last night certainly brought out some doozies.
We know, we know — Elle Fanning landing on a Worst Dressed list sounds nearly impossible, but her
tablecloth Chanel dress really missed the mark tonight at the Critics’ Choice Awards. Unfortunately, she’s not alone. Let’s break down some of the looks.
Next up in award show season is the Critics’ Choice Awards, and we’ve got every single look from the red carpet right here. Last night saw the People’s Choice Awards, and if that was any indication, we’re in for some great (and of course, not-so-great) looks on the red carpet tonight as well. So sit back, relax, and keep checking back here tonight as we update the gallery!
At NBCUniversal‘s Winter Television Critics Association Tour in California yesterday, glamazons like Naomi Campbell, Karolina Kurkova, Coco Rocha, and Padma Lakshmi graced the red carpet. But of course, there can only be one best dressed model.
The January 2013 issue of W is titled “Art Meets Fashion”, and in it four leading artists render covergirl Jessica Chastain in their signature mediums for some seriously gorgeous results.
Jessica Chastain, Chloë Sevigny, and more flocked to YSL‘s screening of Lawless in New York last night. The flick stars Tom Hardy, Shia LaBeouf, and Chastain, who is also the face of YSL’s new scent Manifesto. As such, the 35-year-old actress wore a vintage black YSL number and accessorized with an arm full of colorful bracelets. And what about everyone else?
Jessica Chastain‘s campaign for Yves Saint Laurent‘s newest fragrance, Manifesto, just hit the interwebs!
Blake Lively looks like her normal hot self on the cover of Marie Claire‘s July issue in a Balmain blazer dress (?).
The Tony Awards are known more for the ceremony’s musical numbers than its red carpet fashions, but the female attendees showed up in some seriously glamorous and wacky ensembles last night.
Another day, another set of glorious red carpet looks from across the pond!
And so the French Riviera’s fashion jubilee continues!
At the Cannes Film Festival, the parties are just as fashionable as the red carpet.
Two posts about Cannes red carpet fashion in one day? Indeed!
We never thought we’d end up with so much Prada on the worst dressed list for an event in honor of the brand, but it just goes to show that label isn’t everything. On an evening where everyone’s watching (and werking) there really is no room for error.
