We literally have no words.
Sometimes two dresses are better than one — especially when you’re going from a formal soirée at the Metropolitan Museum of Art to a late night party at the Standard Hotel. But while many guests at last night’s Met Gala opted to stick with their red carpet pick, a handful pulled out second designer looks for the latter half of the evening.
In a mere three days, Peggy Olson, Betty
Draper Francis, Joan Harris, and the new Mrs. Draper will be back on the small screen for a brand new season of Mad Men. Suffice it to say we are VERY excited. Magazine editors have also fallen hard for the show’s leading ladies and January Jones, Christina Hendricks, Elisabeth Moss, and, as of last season, Jessica Paré have been newsstand fixtures ever since the show hit the airwaves. In the spirit of nostalgia, we’re taking a look back at their best shoots, and in the spirit of competition (of which there’s certainly no shortage on the show), we want to know whose you like best.
Any time you have Julianne Moore (in anything), January Jones (in a complex, fashion-forward creation), and Chanel (anything Chanel!) on one red carpet, you know the best dressed list is going to be stiff competition. At tonight’s 64th Annual Emmy Awards, some of Hollywood’s most well-heeled talents stepped out in bright colors, daring cuts, and eye-catching jewels. Take a look at our best dressed nominees — and let us know if you agree.
While most of the red carpet action last night was admittedly up at the NYC Ballet Fall Gala (aka Valentino heaven), elsewhere around the globe other fashionable folk stepped out to strike a pose and sip some champagne. But who looked best doing it?
Mad Men’s season premiere this Sunday was a highly anticipated television event, but no one predicted that the star everyone would be talking about the next day would be Jessica Paré, who plays Don Draper’s new wife Megan. Styleite got to chat with Paré about her role on the show and, of course, the clothes.
