John Galliano Anti-Semitic Slurs Page 1
Despite rumors that John Galliano might skip his trial to stay in rehab, it has been confirmed that the former creative director of Dior will be present for his court date this Wednesday. Galliano has been in rehab since he was fired from Dior in early March for his anti-semitic comments.
According to some of the world’s most prominent writers, John Galliano‘s fall from grace was going to happen sooner or later, anti-Semitic rant or no. And if they’re to be believed, it had everything to do with the way he was coddled and surrounded by luxury by the people at his former employer, Dior.
John Galliano will have to stand trial over the anti-Semitic rant and fight he engaged in at a Paris cafe last Thursday, which led to his very public fall from glory.
When a world-famous clothing designer has to go to court for allegedly using anti-Semitic slurs against a complete and total stranger, you expect there to be a crush of media in attendance. What you don’t expect is a near-impenetrable sea of Nikon lenses, voice recorders, boom microphones and people all trying to get a piece of that designer.
An unnamed woman has come forward to report that Dior designer John Galliano made anti-Semitic remarks toward her last October at Paris’ La Perle, the same cafe in which he was accused of hurling similar slurs at a couple just last week.
