Last week it was announced Kate Moss and Johnny Depp would reunite for Paul McCartney’s music video ‘Queenie Eye’. What we didn’t know is that a whole host of stars would be joining McCartney at Abbey Road Studios to film the
video legend fest, including — deep breath – Laura Bailey, Lily Cole, Alice Eve, Meryl Streep, Jude Law, Sean Penn, James Cordon, Gary Barlow and Tom freakin’ Ford.
While you can never be too sure with someone like Lysa Cooper, we have a feeling the celebrity stylist would have given Johnny Depp her blessing for his look at last night’s press junket for his new Western action film, Lone Ranger. You see, Cooper has professed her admiration of homeless people and their style, and while we’re not exactly calling Depp a vagrant, he kind of looks like a man that stumbled off the street and on to the red carpet. Than again, that’s often been his modus operandi, and more importantly, why we love him.
There are few things more wonderful than a handsome man in a pinstripe waistcoat. Except, maybe, a Winklevoss twin in a well-tailored suit of smooth, steel grey. Or what about a red carpet featuring Johnny Depp in a cowboy hat and a Winklevoss twin in rugged leather booties?
The CFDA is honoring Johnny Depp with the Fashion Icon Award and designer Rei Kawakubo with the International Award at this year’s ceremony (which is being livestreamed) in June, but the two won’t be in attendance.
Johnny Depp‘s November cover of Vanity Fair hasn’t even hit newsstands yet, and already he’s having to apologize for his interview in it. Just yesterday blogs and news sites attacked the actor for comparing being professionally photographed to being raped, and now he’s apologized for the error of his ways.
You would think that a man who’s as heavily photographed as Johnny Depp would be comfortable with getting his picture taken. You would also think he would have enough media training to know when to say the right thing. But in light of a recent pronouncement of his, we’re going to have to believe that that’s not the case at all.
On Saturday, the likes of Penelope Cruz, Eva Longoria, Vanessa Hudgens, and Ashley Tisdale celebrated the premiere of “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,” and while most eyes were on Cruz’ curve-hugging dress, we think Johnny Depp and his drunken pirate inspiration Keith Richards stole the show.
Gemma Ward, who is set to appear in the upcoming “Pirates of the Caribbean” movie, has made the model-to-actress transition that so many beautiful young women attempt and few are able to manage. Let’s just hope she can keep it up.
Johnny Depp has officially set the awesome present bar really high. According to an interview in Marie Claire UK’s August issue, the star gifted his longtime partner, Vanessa Paradis, a pair of Marilyn Monroe’s shoes.
