Well, this is embarrassing.

But Vogue‘s September issue isn’t exactly your average rag, and somewhere in those 917-pages is a lengthy piece by Jonathan Van Meter on that very topic.
If Lady Gaga‘s assemblage of musical and artistic references seems like they’re a tad random at times, her profile in the March issue of Vogue magazine confirms that they’re anything but. Gaga’s image is controlled and even studied — and when it comes to fashion, her look is as raw and as hand-crafted as her music. And how? She pays for her clothes (yes, even the meat dress) herself.
