Apparently there is a memo circulating the Vogue offices instructing stylists to get in at least one sandy supermodel butt shot per issue. While Vogue Paris‘s Emmanuelle Alt went with a bikini-clad Gisele for their June/July cover, Anna Wintour is not to be one-upped, so she had golden girl Karlie Kloss strip down and get covered in clay.
Karlie Kloss‘ 16-page spread for Vogue Italia turned heads yesterday and not just because it was the 19-year-old’s first nude photoshoot. Aptly titled “Body By Kloss”, the spread featured amazing shots of Kloss’ athletic and supremely toned body, with a few eye-catching angles and awkward poses thrown in for good measure. And while we genuinely debated whether a couple of the images were photoshopped, Vogue Italia has gone ahead and pulled the most questionable from their site.
In case you slept through your glossy alarm clock, the May issue of British Vogue is set to hit stands any day now. You know, the one with Gwyneth Paltrow on the cover dishing about freckles, fren-emies and probably some new cleansing kick that’s got her looking more gorgeous than previously thought possible. Alas, despite my personal “life crush” on G.P., there’s only so much GOOP a girl can take before she starts to feel bad about all those peanut butter eggs and jelly beans she ate this weekend. Fortunately, a quick flip through the fold reveals our other favorite long-legged export Karlie Kloss looking all sorts of spiced up and patriotic.
