The answer probably won’t surprise you! The lucky lady who holds the title of Vogue‘s top model for 2012, with not only the most appearances but the most work in top editions and with top photographers, is…drumroll please…
Sure, Kanye West‘s skirt was the big news of the night, style-wise, but he wasn’t the only star who came out to last night’s “12-12-12″ concert. Blake Lively, Katie Holmes, and Kristen Stewart were also among the charitably minded celebs who stepped out for the Hurricane Sandy benefit show.
We all know the ins and outs of wardrobe staples — a plain white tee, dark denim, and a timeless LBD come to mind — but the same goes for beauty. We wanted to find out the must-have products that our favorite fashion insiders never leave home without: the go-to goodies that instantly put a pep in our most stylish friends’ steps. This week, Karlie Kloss fills us in on how to get runway-ready lips.
What are the holidays for if not to bring people together? And who better to facilitate all this togetherness than the collaboration kings over at Target? That was precisely the spirit last night at the launch party for the retailer’s major holiday collection with Neiman Marcus and the CFDA.
The annual Pirelli calendar is usually very, very naked, but this year’s is quite the opposite. Instead Steve McCurry, who lensed the iconic “Portrait of a Girl with Green Eyes” National Geographic cover, photographed philanthropic models like Karlie Kloss, Liya Kebede, pregnant Adriana Lima, and more — all fully-clothed. A few shots from the calendar are already out, and now we’ve got a beautiful behind-the-scenes look of McCurry at work.
Just when we thought that we were done with shopping for a few weeks, the commercial for the massive CFDA x Target x Neiman Marcus collaboration comes out. And of course, it’s great.
For the winter issue of T, Karlie Kloss headed to Nicaragua with photographer Ryan McGinley to pose for a stunning set of understated photos set against the country’s beautiful and diverse landscapes.
We already know who took home the grand prize at last night’s CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards (that would be Greg Chait of The Elder Statesman), but there was no shortage of champions on the red carpet, either. Designers, models, editors, and fashion fans alike donned their best all-American duds and stepped out to strike a pose or two.
Victoria’s Secret received plenty of well-deserved approbation for their role in helping out with Hurricane Sandy relief efforts in the week leading up to their annual fashion show, and this year’s spectacle was every bit the glittery, star-studded bash that we’ve come to expect. But all is not well in lingerie land, after the company sent (white, American model) Karlie Kloss down the runway in a feathered headdress, buckskin bikini, and oodles of turquoise jewelry as part of the “Calendar Girls” segment of the show.
We adore Karlie Kloss, so obviously we were super excited when we heard that she has a new beau. Let’s meet the lucky guy, shall we?
Karlie Kloss‘ new haircut caused a bit of a media freak out yesterday, ourselves included. It’s so short! She has bangs! The only person that wasn’t in a tizzy was probably the model herself, who seemed calm and collected backstage at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show.
Karlie Kloss just chopped off her locks, and we are totally loving her new look.
The Today Show enlisted the help of Karlie Kloss for Friday’s segment on fall’s hottest fashion trends. And why not? Kloss has been flexing her on-camera muscle hosting MTV’s House Of Style, walked plenty of major shows for fall 2012 (albeit only in Paris), and, at age 20, has already achieved veritable supermodel status (and we, unlike most, don’t use that term lightly).
Boston tends to get a bad rap, fashion-wise. But last night there was not a North Face in sight at the opening of Mario Testino‘s first-ever stateside museum show, which drew Anna Wintour, Hamish Bowles, Karlie Kloss and many more all the way from NYC to Beantown (how glamorous must that Fung Wah bus trip have been?)
As much as we loved Cindy Crawford as the original host of MTV’s House of Style, Karlie Kloss and Joan Smalls are doing a mighty fine job themselves. Their first episode is out, and it follows the two during Paris Fashion Week from the hustle and bustle of backstage to the glamorous parties.
Ok, we know it’s not even Halloween yet, but seriously, HOW PRECIOUS IS THIS?!
Carine Roitfeld really knows how to throw a parrr-tay. Last night, the CR Fashion Book editor-in-chief fêted her MAC collaboration with a very fancy fête in Paris, and of course, everyone was dressed to the nines.
A swanky Parisian cocktail party, an eco-chic L.A. awards show, and a laid-back music festival in NYC — which look do you like best?
