Kate Middleton is in Scotland this week, and she’s certainly getting into the national spirit. For one thing, she has swapped over to her local title, the Countess of Strathearn, and on top of that, this morning she debuted a new, pregnancy-friendly coat by UK label Moloh — in an oh-so-Scottish tartan print.
Not that we were expecting an invite or anything, but it looks like Kate Middleton will be abstaining from a well-known pregnancy rite of passage: the baby shower.
If we were in possession of Kate Middleton‘s good looks, we’d probably be content to just sit around all day brushing our chestnut hair and batting our baby blues at the mirror. But after Heidi Agan got told one too many times how closely she resembles the Duchess, she up and quit her job as a waitress to become a Middleton impersonator full time.
Kate Middleton may be pregnant, but she’s definitely not shirking her Duchess duties. She is spending the day in Grimsby in the North East of England, and the first visit was to the National Fishing Heritage Centre this morning. As to be expected, Kate looked great.
Kate Middleton just can’t seem to catch a break when she goes on vacation. Back in September, topless photos of the Duchess were published in multiple European tabloids after she was snapped by a paparazzi while holidaying in Provence, and now it has been revealed that Italian gossip rag Chi (one of the more unapologetic perpetrators the first time around), has published photos taken of a four-months-pregnant Kate and husband Prince William on vacation in Mustique.
Tabloids, rejoice! Having been on Kate Middleton baby bump watch for the better part of the last two years, it looks like celebrity media finally has an actual tummy to talk about. The Duchess was spotted out and about in London last week, hitting up a Boots pharmacy in a pair of skinny jeans, suede boots, and (gasp!) a tartan Zara cape, which seemed to be concealing a burgeoning baby bump.
Kate Middleton‘s every move since she left the hospital has been pretty well-documented, and the latest sighting is of her shopping for casual and athletic wares inside Selfridges in London. Maybe she got tired of playing field hockey in heels?
We’d already guessed the Royal Baby‘s approximate due date given that Kate Middleton was just shy of 12 weeks when she was admitted into the hospital for acute morning sickness in early December. But St. James’ Palace released an official statement this morning confirming it.
As you probably know, earlier this month two Australian DJs tricked Kate Middleton‘s nurse into describing the Duchess’ severe morning sickness in detail on the air by impersonating Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles over the phone. Three days later, the nurse who took the call, Jacintha Saldanha, committed suicide, and there was talk of the DJs being prosecuted. But now, that appears unlikely.
While it may take her a while to feel 100 percent healthy, the Duchess of Cambridge was well enough tonight to present at the BBC Sports Personality Of The Year awards show in London for her first public appearance since her initial bout of severe morning sickness.
If you, like us, have ever wondered what it must be like to be a royal’s doctor in a less-than-dignified situation, the cast of SNL and host Martin Short have an answer for you.
The media backlash against Australian radio hosts Mel Greig and Michael Christian has been fast and furious after the nurse who patched through their prank call on the hospital where the pregnant Kate Middleton was being treated committed suicide last week. The pair have reportedly been in hiding since the story broke, but gave a tearful interview today expressing their sorrow and regret over Jacintha Saldanha’s death.
Although the pregnant Duchess of Cambridge was discharged from the hospital Thursday following a severe bout of morning sickness, she’s fallen ill a second time, and Prince William cancelled an engagement he had tonight in order to stay at home with her.
Kate Middleton has finally been discharged from the King Edward VII Hospital.
Pippa and James Middleton have finally visited Kate in the hospital after two and a half days.
Prince William visited Kate Middleton at the King Edward VII Private Hospital for the third day in a row this morning.
Instead of respecting Kate Middleton‘s current Hyperemesis Gravidarum condition and giving her privacy, two radio hosts from an Australian music station called into the King Edward VII Hospital pretending to be Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles to inquire about the Duchess.
Here’s what they had to say.
