With all of the excitement over Kate Middleton’s royal baby bump, we’d almost forgotted about those other parts of her anatomy that became the object of tabloid fascination a few months back. Yes, we’re talking about those pesky topless photos. They’re back in the news today following reports that two indictments related to their publication have been made in French court. But as for the Duchess herself, she’s been busy looking gorgeous as ever at a National Portrait Gallery appearance. As if there were ever any doubt as to who’d come out on top in the end.
The photographer that took topless photos of Kate Middleton may have been able to hide out in the bushes far, far away from the chateau where the royal couple sunbathed while they snapped the shots, but it looks like they can’t hide from the law any longer.
Remember how we reported that Danish magazine Se Og Hor was going to go ahead and publish the set of topless Kate Middleton photos that ran in French tabloid Closer despite all of the legal trouble the latter is now facing? Well, they’ve gone one step further and published shots of the Duchess sans bikini bottoms.
Despite the Palace’s victory in obtaining an injunction preventing French title Closer from further publication of the topless photos taken of Kate Middleton while sunbathing in the South of France, still more European tabloids have made the decision to print the controversial images.
The legal battle is far from finished over the topless images of Kate Middleton published last week by French tabloid Closer, but the first dispute was settled this morning in a civil court in Nanterre.
The Palace is not wasting any time in pursuing legal action against Closer, the French tabloid that last week published topless photos of Kate Middleton sunbathing with Prince William at a chateau in the South of France.
The scandal is far from over! It all started Friday when French magazine Closure published photos of the Duchess of Cambridge sunbathing topless at a private house in Provence, and things got infinitely worse yesterday when the Irish Daily Star ran the photos, Italian rag Chi announced plans to do the same, and the Palace took legal action. Now things have gotten even messier, as one of the Daily Star‘s controllers is saying the decision to print the photos was made without his knowledge and that he will pull the plug on the magazine because of it.
Despite the fact that the palace has already made good on their threat of legal action against the French publication that ran semi-nude photos of the Duchess of Cambridge, Italian magazine Chi has now come out saying that they’re going to publish them as well.
Fresh off one nudity scandal, the royal family has another one on its hands. This time, the honor belongs to Kate Middleton, who was photographed sunbathing topless while on vacation in Provence with husband Prince William.
