Ain’t no party like a Chanel party, and that’s a fact. Last night, the brand hosted an Artists Dinner during the Tribeca Film Festival, drawing scenesters, models, and media types alike. Here’s a look at what everyone wore.
January Jones and Kiernan Shipka have completely different red carpet styles, but at last night’s Mad Men season five presentation at the The Paley Center for Media, it seemed like the two swapped outfits on their way to the event. Take a look, and chime in.
Perhaps in an attempt to protect their best designer duds from getting ruined with Nickelodeon’s trademark slime, the stars that hit the orange carpet last night for the Kids’ Choice Awards kept it, for the most part, pretty simple.
Our favorite part about Mad Men may just be the costumes, but at last night’s season six premiere in Los Angeles, the dresses on the leading ladies unfortunately fell short of fabulous.
Last night was full of fancy premieres, and picking a best dressed lady was quite a feat. Let’s break down the more memorable looks.
While most of the red carpet action last night was admittedly up at the NYC Ballet Fall Gala (aka Valentino heaven), elsewhere around the globe other fashionable folk stepped out to strike a pose and sip some champagne. But who looked best doing it?
Airplanes are so hot right now. Following in the footsteps of Chanel and, well, Chanel, Banana Republic unveiled their new Mad Men collection on a cross-country Virgin America flight from New York to Los Angeles. And while a five-hour plane ride might seem like a lot to sit through for a 4-look show, the passenger manifest conveniently included bloggers like Keiko Lynn, Saucy Glossie, and My Style Pill, all of whom were whisked off to
Sally Draper Kiernan Shipka’s house upon landing to celebrate the launch.
Kiernan Shipka never ceases to amaze. The 11-year-old is more mature than we will ever be, and she has a super strong sense of her personal style. Did you have go-to pieces as a tween?
It’s sad when you think about how long it’s been since Little Miss Eden Wood of Toddlers and Tiaras has gone without wearing makeup — and even sadder when you remember that she’s just 6 years old. But all of that is made funny in this new video, where she and other child stars visit a childlike child psychologist.
We thought we were done with our awesome (if somewhat exhausting!) Emmy red carpet coverage, when we realized we’d inadvertently forgotten to highlight three of our favorite style stars: Christina Hendricks, Elisabeth Moss, and Kiernan Shipka, all of whom work on Mad Men and all of whom wore spectacularly stunning dresses.
The Glee kids are taking part in next month’s Fashion’s Night Out, and they also know a thing or two about walking a red carpet.
Ever wonder what Tavi Gevinson keeps in her locker? Today’s StyleDish shows us the Style Rookie’s essentials (amongst them a blue wig and Play-Doh), Andrej Pejic’s latest catwalking adventures, and how to look like a J.Crew model (because that’s obviously very, very necessary).
Kiernan Shipka leads quite a life. Independent of the fact she plays Sally Draper on Mad Men, the 11-year-old’s day-to-day existence is kind of awe-inspiring. She dresses like “an editorial assistant at Vogue,” and lives in a “pastel wedding cake of a mansion” with her parents and two German shepherds and plenty of strawberry-pomegranate cream cheese. It’s just all a bit much. Alas, it’s hard not to love the tween actress after reading her profile in this week’s New York Magazine.
Last night Elle celebrated Tinseltown’s elite at their Women in Hollywood celebration. Vets like Diane Keaton and Goldie Hawn mixed with the younger set, which included Mad Men‘s adorable Kiernan Shipka (who looked like she walked right off the set in her retro frock). The fashionable crowd included Sofia Coppola (classy in black and white), Rachel Zoe (fabulous in fur), Gwyneth Paltrow (punchy in tangerine) and many more.
In case you haven’t noticed the brewing excitement, Mad Men’s fourth season debuts in less than a month. Stills have been leaked, promos have been published, and now the Draper family can add one more model to its roster. Kiernan Shipka, the 10-year-old actress who plays daughter Sally Draper, models some of Burberry Prorsum‘s most covetable fall styles in this month’s Interview magazine. And yes, you read that right: she’s 10.
