This was the week that Marie Claire got embroiled in some “fattie” controversy, Justin Bieber was the victim of unfortunate Photoshopping and Harry Potter stole from Alexander McQueen. It was also the week we learned Anna Wintour worked for Penthouse and that Target made us very, very happy.
Last week, after the New York Post excerpted a diet-focused portion from her profile in the November issue of Vogue, we wondered whether or not Senator Kirsten Gillibrand lost her weight specifically for the magazine. Thankfully, according to our timeline calculations, that wasn’t the case — but that doesn’t mean Vogue wouldn’t have been ecstatic if it were. While the profile is lengthy and certainly not lacking in meat, it also dedicates about two paragraphs too many to Gillibrand’s so-called transformation.
Senator Kirsten Gillibrand has lost more than 40 pounds since she started serving her post in January 2009. Gillibrand has gone from size 16 to 6 (and sometimes 4!), and appears in Vogue‘s November issue. She even showed off her fabulous new figure at Fashion’s Night Out, dancing with one of her aides. But did she do it for Anna?
