Well, and there you have it. Lady Gaga has officially outdone herself. Last week, photos leaked of Gaga covered in nothing but meat for an alleged Vogue Hommes Japan cover. Tonight, as her third MTV Video Music Awards ensemble, Gaga wore a dress made of, you guessed it!, meat — which she paired with a “meat purse” and shoes wrapped in meat, wrapped in butcher’s twine.

Amid the chaos of fashion week and the sartorial disasters that were the rest of the attendees, Gaga stepped out in a breath-taking, baroque, and statuesque gown from Alexander McQueen‘s final collection — headpiece and all.
