Lady Gaga Page 2
We’ve all acted as fools in love — but foolish enough to drop $55,000 on a knapsack for our beau’s birthday? Never. Unless it was on Lady Gaga’s dime, of course. This said, we don’t blame Mother Monster for dropping some serious dough on a gift for her boyfriend Taylor Kinney’s birthday, because for one, we’re not blind, and second, that’s practically pocket change for Miss #2 on Fortune’s Most Powerful Celebrities List, who boasts an $80 million payroll. So now that we’ve voluntarily given Gaga a free pass to shower her adonis boyfriend with gifts to the tune of numbers-that-make-us-cringe, let’s take a closer look at the backpack in question.
Floppy sunhats and beanies? So last season. It’s all about hats made from human hair now, so you better put any drastic haircut thoughts on the backburner – you don’t want to be limiting your options.
If you’re going to be a fly on Lady Gaga’s wall, Gay Pride weekend in New York City is as good a time as any, and thanks to her creative confidante Terry Richardson, with whom she’s working on a documentary, we’re in on all the charades.
Rather than ruminating on all the amazing live music you’ll be missing this weekend in favor of an accidental sunburn from the farmer’s market and some light retail therapy (well, that’s what our weekend looks like), turn that frown upside down with pics from the G-fest going back to nearly a decade ago. Remember a lady named Gaga? She was there! And so was Kate Moss!
Ew, really, crazy person with too much money?
Today it was announced that, after two years at the helm, Nicola Formichetti is parting ways with the house of Thierry Mugler. Tear. As for what’s next for the French house, a statement from the company indicates that they’ll be releasing a plan soon “that builds on its highly successful legacy in fragrance and its new momentum in fashion.” Until then, however, let’s reminisce over what the last two years have brought us in the fantastical, futuristic world of Formichetti’s Mugler.
It’s Lady Gaga‘s 27th birthday today! To celebrate, we’ve rounded up Mother Monster’s most out-there covers to date, from her hair-raising (and pink-haired) appearances on Vogue, to the locked-and-loaded lingerie she donned for Rolling Stone.
We don’t know about you, but we were so caught up in the excitement of Monday’s inaugural balls (and, of course, that inaugural gown) that we forgot that last night held even more excitement in the capital. President Obama honored thousands of White House and campaign staffers at one final celebration Tuesday night, and enlisted what he called a “couple of people who are pretty good musicians — Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett.”
Lady Gaga, Kelly Osbourne, and Sharon Osbourne are three very outspoken women in the entertainment industry, and they’ve all just decided to take their feud over bullying and body image very public.
Lady Gaga and Terry Richardson are kind of a match made in provocateur heaven, so it should come as no surprise that the pair are joining forces to take their partnership to the big screen with a film documenting the pop star’s life and the making of her upcoming album “ARTPOP”.
It’s Treat Yo Self 2012! Or at least, that’s what Lady Gaga thinks — girl just bought herself over $220,000 worth of furs in Moscow, Russia.
Lady Gaga just doesn’t get a break — not even on Thanksgiving. Thirty-five fans decided to pay Mother Monster a visit in Peru, but they didn’t just stand outside her rental pad with some homemade signs. Instead they broke into Gaga’s rental crib.
This weekend, the mega popstar uploaded a video onto her Little Monsters site which shows her dancing around in a hot dog costume to Edith Piaf‘s “La Vie, L’Amour”, amongst other things.
While Lady Gaga calls the media attention she received following her 30-pound weight gain “f*cking ridiculous,” Beth Ditto, whose body has been a central part of her celebrity ever since she first rose to fame as the lead singer for Gossip, has a different point of view entirely.
Lady Gaga has been pretty outspoken about her recent weight gain, and we’re on her side of things. However, in a recent interview with Stylist mag, she made an offhand remark about Adele, which didn’t quite sit well with us.
Mother Monster totally took us by surprise with a recent appearance in the Versace safety pin dress that Elizabeth Hurley made famous back in 1994. So we’ve gotta ask: who wore it best?
Remember when Lady Gaga defended her friend Oscar de la Renta in his beef (pun intended) with Cathy Horyn? We all kind of rolled our eyes, but, Mother Monster is not done! She’s taking this silly misunderstanding one step further with a rap song that she debuted at Nicola Formichetti‘s Mugler show.
