Lana del Rey Page 1
Songstress and fashion icon Lana Del Rey has already proved that she mas modeling chops, with both a Vogue cover and an H&M campaign under her belt. And on the December cover of Obsession, she looks like she could’ve just stepped off the set of Mad Men and into the magazine’s pages.
Taylor Swift, Alicia Keys, Carly Rae Jepsen, Psy, and more attended MTV‘s European Music Awards in Frankfurt, Germany last night. The red carpet looks ran from runway glam to over-the-top excess to some seriously yawn-worthy frocks. Who was best dressed, and who could have dressed better?
But who rocked their event the hardest?
H&M campaign star and indie darling du jour Lana Del Rey covers Vogue Australia’s October issue in an ethereal shot taken by photographerNicole Bentley. And because the glossy is based down under, Christine Centenera styled the songbird in springtime ivories and pastels while we’re all gearing up for fall.
Peep some of the designs and drawings from UK fashion illustrator Hayden Wiliams, who is apparently Rihanna’s “boo.”
Rumors of Lana Del Rey fronting H&M’s fall and winter campaign are true, and we have the pics!
Despite her big fat flub on SNL, the fashion world still seems to really love Lana Del Rey.
On May 7, designers, models, actresses, and all sorts of fashionable peeps will come out to support the Metropolitan Museum of Art‘s Costume Institute exhibit honoring Miuccia Prada and Elsa Schiaparelli. (Even if Prada herself isn’t a fan.) But the opening Gala is as much about the attendees as it is the honorees, which means the invite list is a Very Big Deal.
We couldn’t figure out if we were more surprised that there was a French edition of Glamour or that we were staring at cover girl Lana Del Rey‘s butt more than her face. Either way, we think we’re into it.
Don’t get us wrong — we like the smoky singer’s style and applaud her for maintaining her integrity amid all the criticism surrounding her music. And while much of Lana Del Rey’s ‘retro soul siren meets modern day diva’ works for us, we just cannot get on board with those nails.
Unlike we silly Americans, the Brits are totally down with awards shows not always being on Sunday nights. (Plug: get ready for all our Oscar coverage this weekend!). As such, we present to you tonight’s Brit Awards red carpet.
Mulberry has a big ol’ crush on Lana Del Rey, doesn’t it?
It looks like Lana Del Rey is determined to make this fashion darling thing stick. Not only has she gotten stamps of approval from Karl Lagerfeld and Tavi Gevinson and covered T and British Vogue, now she’s an official muse.
We’ve been trying our hardest to internet ignore Lana del Rey, but the buzz surrounding the surprisingly controversial artist is getting harder and harder to drown out. Earlier this week, Tavi Gevinson voiced her defense of del Rey to our friends at both Refinery29 and The Cut — and then yesterday she took in the Rodarte show what can only be described as a pitch perfect homage to the singer. Coincidence? We think not.
Karl Lagerfeld says the darndest things.
