The Vogue Paris cover photo of Lara Stone released last week was just a small window into one of the most stunning spreads of the summer. Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin photographed a star-studded group of supermodels for Vogue Paris’ August issue. Styled by Emmanuelle Alt, Suzanne Koller and Melanie Ward, the models wear gorgeous designs from Miu Miu, Stella McCartney, Lanvin and Missoni.
It’s August cover time, people! In honor of the special time, allow us to pit two Vogues against one another. Sarah Jessica Parker for American Vogue versus Lara Stone for Vogue Paris, anddddd…GO!
The end is near. Not the literal end, of course, but the end of Carine Roitfeld‘s tenure as redactrice en chef de Vogue Paris. And while many are looking forward to what Emmanuelle Alt will do with the magazine when she inherits its throne, we’re more concerned about the legacy Roitfeld will leave at the magazine. If an editor is only as good as her last cover, what does Roitfeld’s second to last cover say about where her and her magazine?
The 90th anniversary issue of Vogue Paris drops this month and in typical Carine Roitfeld form, the edition is jam-packed full of controversial photo spreads, 276 pages of ads, and Lara Stone‘s breasts.
