Mark our words — one day there’ll be a “Who Wore It Better,” and that’s when he’ll exact his revenge. [Maniacal laughter.]
In Business of Fashion’s recent profile of Lynn Yaeger, the unorthodox fashion journalist revealed that she and her dear friend, Paper’s Mickey Boardman are often taken aback at how far they’ve come from their humble beginnings. That got us thinking: what other industry figures started in a no-name town before gunning it for the big city.
Just in time for Mother’s Day, Lara Stone has a brand new baby boy to celebrate with!
Boobs and booze make for a pretty perfect pair — just ask beer advertisers. Clearly, i-D agrees, since in their spring 2013 issue, Dutch model Lara Stone goes topless, shielding her chest (just barely) with two strategically-placed glasses of red wine. And that might just be the most normal “outfit” she wears in the spread.
Not only is Vogue Paris considered one of the most influential fashion magazines in the world, it’s also made a name for itself with original, inspiring, and occasionally controversial photography. But instead of featuring a big-named photographer and a high-concept shoot for its annual calendar, the 2013 edition is just full of repeat images.
Dutch model Lara Stone is expecting her first child with British comedian David Walliams next year, and at last night’s Gotham Independent Film Awards in New York, she looked nothing short of a yummy mummy-to-be.
Lara Stone shows off some fancy dances moves for Calvin Klein‘s newest push-up bra, and surprise! — does it to the oldie-but-goodie jam “Push It” by Salt-N-Pepa. There’s really no better way to advertise a push-up bra than to that tune. Of course, the song itself has nothing to do with bras, but who cares? It’s still catchy!
In only a few short weeks we’ll all be able to get our hands on copies of Carine Roitfeld‘s new magazine CR Fashion Book, but for now we’ll have to settle with teaser gifs posted on the glossy’s official Tumblr page. The latest stars perennial French Vogue favorite Lara Stone, clad in an ivory Céline sweater with a pair of angel wings strapped to her back.
The September issue is a big deal for any fashion mag, but French Vogue’s marks a new look for the Emmanuele Alt-helmed glossy. To celebrate, the editor wrangled a trifecta of present-day supers — Kate Moss, Lara Stone, and Daria Werbowy — to pose for the cover.
In the most unsurprising news of the day, Lara Stone is still the face of Calvin Klein. Well technically, she’s the face of Calvin Klein Collection, ck Calvin Klein, Calvin Klein Jeans, ck Calvin Klein Watch & Jewelry, while Edita Vilkeviciute fronts Calvin Klein. But really, Lara Stone = Calvin Klein.
Models, royals, and crazy hats? It’s our lucky day!
Ah, the age-old pairing of movie hunk and supermodel. It just never fails, does it?
We’re used to seeing Lara Stone as a blonde, but her new darker hue suits her just as nicely.
Lara, I’ve a feeling we’re not in Kansas anymore.
If anyone knows the ins and outs of the modeling business, it’s Lara Stone. The 24-year-old model has done shoots and shows all over the world, so we think she’s qualified to dole out advice for up-and-comers. Tip number one: finish school before you start strutting your stuff full time.
This was the week of Emmy style, London runway shows, and tons of Lara Stone magazine covers. We attended Tony Bennett‘s 85th birthday party and investigated the Walmart cheer. We also thought a whole lot about the Missoni for Target mess.
We love when models front magazines, and we especially love when our favorite models get some serious face time. Fall seems to be the season we can’t escape Lara Stone, and that’s fine by us.
The 2012 Pirelli calendar won’t be unveiled until December, but images of the racy annal have already started leaking online. Shot by Mario Sorrenti in Corsica earlier this summer, the photos leaked so consist of nude, nearly nude, and basically nude images of Lara Stone, Kate Moss, Milla Jovovich, Saskia de Brauw, Isabeli Fontana, and actress Rinko Kikuchi (who we, personally, think was an inspired choice.)
