Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Page 1
The best outfits we came across this week were on real, live people playing themselves. (Is that cheating?). When asked if he had any contributions to the dressing list, one sartorial standout in our office replied, “all I saw this week was a woman on last night’s Bar Rescue rerun wearing early 2000s stonewashed flared jeans. FLARED! *vom* :(“. Sad-face, indeed. Without stooping to the barf-inducing aughts-era rerun fashion, this is what we’ve scrounged together for the best of the week.
Last night on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, Elisabeth Moss pranced on set in an adorable tennis-dress styled LBD and a striking new hairdo. Her character on Mad Men may have had the worst day of work in the latest episode, but this look landed Moss as our best of the day.
In this clip on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy web chats Mindy in to talk about her new web series, Blackmail, featuring The Office‘s favorite creeper, Creed, she schools Jimmy on web chat hip hop, and then dares him to follow her on Twitter. Who doesn’t love a funny girl with sweet dance moves and a Twitter account?
Carey Mulligan may have snagged the cover of Vogue, but she’s not the only Gatsby girl in town. Aussie actress Isla Fisher plays Myrtle in Baz Luhrmann‘s cinematic extravaganza, and yesterday she hopped on the promotional wagon with a stop by the set of Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.
Ok, not to brag or anything, but we totally called the collection that Khaleesi would wear off the runway. Yesterday, Game Of Thrones star Emilia Clarke stopped by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to talk about what it’s like to play the mother of the dragons, and chose a sandy yellow dress from Versace’s spring 2013 collection – the very same one we paired with her character Daenerys Targaryen in Friday’s GOT fashion roundup. Watch the clip to hear the actress riff with the host about CGI dragons, fan run-ins, and whether she ever gets to wear her white blonde wig out in public.
Two of our favorite boys in entertainment will be goofing around on our television screens all week as Justin Timberlake kicks off a five-night stint as a guest on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Between this and Saturday Night Live, we wouldn’t be surprised if JT has gone ahead and started crashing in 30 Rockefeller Plaza. He stopped by the set to perform “Pusher Love Girl” off his new album, “The 20/20 Experience” and exchange some witty repartee with the host — including a funny bit about the two having an ill-fated Sunday night tryst.
The late night wars are heating up yet again! Is Jay Leno on the way out of the Tonight Show slot? Is Jimmy Fallon on the way in? Of course it’s a question of who gets the most laughs and draws the biggest A-list names, but we think there’s one other factor most people are forgetting: whose guests break out their best outfits for their time on the couch. As such, we’ve rounded up what everyone from Kristen Stewart to Heidi Klum to Michelle Obama wore on the two talk shows and are pitting them head to head for you to judge which late night host has the spiffiest stars.
Pretty much any video content of Ryan Lochte talking is gold-medal worthy, and we’ve got plenty of it this morning.
GIRL CRUSH OVERLOAD.
What is it with late night talk show hosts going all tongue-tied and googley-eyed around swimsuit models? They talk to people for a living! In today’s installment, Jimmy Fallon stutters and blushes his way through an interview with Adriana Lima — and picks up a few modeling tips in the process.
Wunderbar, As they say in Germany! As information on the upcoming Project Runway continues to trickle in, we can’t help but anticipate the July 29th premiere of the eighth season. (Has the show really been around that long?!) People magazine has just confirmed that episodes of the new season will each see a 30-minute extension from their usual one-hour time slot — leaving plenty of space for showroom drama.
