Lauren Conrad Page 2
Lauren Conrad, that not-forgotten former reality TV star, used to pine about how much she wanted to have a normal life. Of course, that could have been part of her scripted reality. Nevertheless, when she told Ryan Seacrest that plans were in the works to bring her back to MTV‘s reality TV lineup, our hearts skipped a beat. For fear of violating some contract or other, Conrad wouldn’t tell Seacrest what the show is about, but we have a few ideas.
Elle‘s 25th anniversary issue has been met with a little controversy — some of which we’ve harbored right here on Styleite — but we’ll be honest: The short film photographer Carter Smith made featuring the 25 game changers and revolutionaries from the October issue is really quite charming.
Lauren Conrad is nothing if not perseverant. While her first clothing line, Lauren Conrad Collection, lasted only two years, she has found a moderate amount of success with her Kohl’s collaboration, LC by Lauren Conrad Collection. But that’s not enough for Conrad, who wants to give the eponymous collection another shot — this time with a slightly different spin, and higher price points.
We know this doesn’t quite fall under our purview, but we’ll explain our logic later. In the meantime, while the cast of The Hills have bid their farewell to MTV’s cameras, former star Jason Wahler is welcoming a new set into his life — and these ones are decidedly less chic.
One of Kathy Griffin’s life-long dreams is to be in an episode of The Hills. Well, the D-List comedienne got one step closer to that dream when MTV icon and pretend clothing designer Lauren Conrad joined her on an episode of “My Life On The D-List” to help Griffin’s mother (pretend to) design a muu-muu. Or what Kathy dubbed a “Maggie Drinking Blanket.”
While we’ve been growing up, Got Milk has been continuing their milk mustache campaign. Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Usher — all recent inductees to the Got Milk campaign. Next up to receive the highly honorable milk mustache? Lauren Conrad. And after almost a full season of The Hills sans L.C., we’re glad to see her face again.
Oh, how we’ve missed seeing Amy Astley’s face on the television screen since Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port completed their internship at Teen Vogue. Remember how fabulous it was when we got to see the two travel to Paris for the Crillion Ball? Tears of nostalgia…But have no fear, apparently Teen Vogue is working on a new television show.
True Whit, Whitney Port’s new advice book is due out next year and will be published by It Books. According to the publisher, the book will offer advice and personal anecdotes and will be a “conversational, fun, and candid guide for girls looking to start out [in life] with style.”
Earlier this month we reported on a study that said blondes make more money and marry richer men. Apparently the magazine industry also thinks blondes are better for circulation.
It’s hard to ignore the fact that as Heidi Montag grew further away from Lauren and closer to Spencer, her shorts got shorter, her dresses got tighter, and, well, her boobs got significantly larger. In today’s edition of Fashion Wars, we take a look at Heidi’s almost 180 degree style evolution. Which Montag do you like better?
