Since launching his womenswear label in 2010, Tom Ford has shown his collections in presentations of utmost exclusivity — no photos or social media allowed. This year, however, it was announced that the designer will be staging his first full-scale runway show during London Fashion Week in February. And not only that: he’ll even be inviting bloggers!
Is it just us, or does London Fashion Week get better by the season? For Fall 2013, the once-peripheral destination is adding two big designers to its official schedule.

British First Lady Samantha Cameron wore all-black clothes by an assortment of British designers this morning when she officially opened London Fashion Week. Aside from Dita Von Teese, Cameron’s outfit might just be the best example of head-to-toe black we’ve seen in a long, long time.
If there was anything Tom Ford could do to make his women’s collection more exclusive, it would be taking it out from under the fast-moving and impatient guise of New York Fashion Week. And that’s exactly what he’ll be doing for his fall presentation.
A 24-year-old model accused hair stylist Shawn Mount of sexually assaulting her in a hotel room during London Fashion Week. The New York Post reports that Shawn, husband to model Heidi Mount (the current face of Chanel, pictured above), was arrested but not charged in relation to the assault. Mount was released on bail so that he could work backstage at Milan Fashion Week.
