WWD today noted the “fashion double take” they did upon seeing the shoot entitled “A Colorful Dream” in the summer 2013 issue of Melissa Shoes’ magazine Plastic Dreams. The spread, which features seven models in technicolor wigs lounging around a brightly-colored room, is, they say, “strikingly similar” to W Korea’s “Birthday Girls” cover story from March 2012, which — what do you know? — likewise depicts seven models in technicolor wigs lounging around a brightly-colored room.
Karl Lagerfeld Is Now Designing Jelly Shoes
Karl Lagerfeld has designed all sorts of kooky shoes for Chanel. There were the pair with pistols for heels, the ones which featured fully-functional lightbulbs…even those $950 high top sneakers!
According to WWD, the next footwear frontier for the collab-happy designer is none other than jelly shoes, which he will be creating for Brazilian shoe company Melissa.

What’s next in designer capsule collections? Jason Wu‘s collaboration with Brazilian shoe brand, Melissa. Women’s Wear Daily reports that Taiwanese-born Wu will be releasing two styles in his collaboration with the plastic shoe brand, following in the footsteps of Vivienne Westwood, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Gareth Pugh.
