10 Important Things We Learned Last Week: December 4-10

This was the week Karlie Kloss spoke about her Vogue Italia photos and Lindsay Lohan‘s Playboy spread leaked. This was also the week we got a double dose of Chloë Sevigny, attended some fancy parties, and saw the unveiling of the Pirelli calendar.

WATCH: Milla Jovovich Explains The Pirelli Calendar

The fact that it’s Friday notwithstanding, why would anyone make a 20-minute long behind the scenes video? But for those of you looking to see some artfully dampened nudity (there’s an assistant tasked with wetting the models via spray bottles) or hear Milla Jovovich explain the relationship between the strength and quality of Pirelli tires and the models featured in the calendar, this video is for you!

The 2012 Pirelli calendar won’t be unveiled until December, but images of the racy annal have already started leaking online. Shot by Mario Sorrenti in Corsica earlier this summer, the photos leaked so consist of nude, nearly nude, and basically nude images of Lara Stone, Kate Moss, Milla Jovovich, Saskia de Brauw, Isabeli Fontana, and actress Rinko Kikuchi (who we, personally, think was an inspired choice.)

PHOTOS: Kirsten, Charlotte, Doutzen, And Milla Get Glam In Cannes

What do Kirsten Dunst, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Doutzen Kroes, and Milla Jovovich have in common? Yes, they’re all in Cannes but, more importantly, they all looked awesome. Kirsten rocked polka dot Rodarte while Milla was statuesque in Prada. Doutzen and Charlotte both opted for black, though the former came in the form of a sleek, drape-y gown, while the latter was a brave, pregnant tummy-baring skirt and shirt combo. Who was your fave?

PHOTOS: Milla Jovovich’s NSFW Red Carpet Nipple Slip

It’s darn near impossible for Milla Jovovich to look bad, but she turned heads Wednesday night for all the wrong reasons. Jovovich walked the red carpet for the Gorby 80 Gala at The Royal Albert Hall in London wearing a gorgeous champagne and black lace dress by Valentino Red. And in a real life version of every woman’s greatest fear, Jovovich’s dress slipped down just enough while she posed to share a single nipple with the evening’s photographers and, well, the world.

PHOTOS: One Night, Four Red Carpets, Six Best Dressed Celebs

Basically, every Hollywood celebrity and their mother was out and about last night for a myriad events that ran the gamut from Tom Ford‘s Los Angeles store opening to a Forevermark party for Michelle Williams to the Hollywood Reporter’s Big 10 fete to Vanity Fair’s soiree celebrating Fox Searchlight Films. And the worst part of all this is that, instead of banding together (to make our lives easier, natch), our favorite style stars decided to divide and conquer.

On Thursday, some of Tinseltown’s best dressed stepped out to celebrate Paul Haggis and Simon Fuller at a private party thrown by Bulgari and held at Ron Burkle’s house. And if that wasn’t enough of a mouthful, the event benefitted the Save The Children and Artists For Peace and Justice funds. But while we love ourselves a good cause, we love a red (or in this case, black) carpet even more. Who do you think looked the best?

SLIDESHOW: Models Before They Were Famous

When photos surface of celebrities before they were famous, people go wild. Whispers of, “So that’s what her nose really looks like,” to “Awww, look how cute,” circulate instantaneously. Luckily for you, we’re always on the look out for pictures of our favorite fashion icons in their days of youth. In this edition of Time Warp, we’re taking a look back at some of today’s hottest models, to see what they looked like before they stalked the catwalks.

In Honor Of Karen Elson, A Brief History Of Models Singing

Karen Elson’s debut album debut album, “The Ghost Who Walks,” dropped last week and the flame-haired model is already receiving some seriously positive reviews. But not all models-turned-singers fare so well — though some have certainly come close — and in honor of those who came before Ms. Elson, we’ve compiled a brief history of models who (tried to) sing, in video form, of course.
