Miu Miu Page 1
Next up on our Paris Fashion Week livestream is Miu Miu at 8 AM EST, and of course, we saved you a front row seat.
It would appear that the lovely Kerry Washington is the latest of a string of starlets to opt for a different gown mere moments before they hit the red carpet.
Just one day after Prada releases its epic spring campaign featuring our some of our favorite models, sister label Miu Miu does the same.
It’s a good thing Miu Miu‘s members-only pop-up club was only a three day deal, otherwise we would’ve been tempted to hop the pond and sneak our way in to rub shoulders with the crème de la crème of London’s fashion scene.
Miu Miu always gorgeously toes the line between über-feminine and über-masculine moments. And the Fall 2012 collection of lady loafers stays true to form.
That’s right, 37-year-old Chloë Sevigny‘s still got it. The eternal It girl is now the face of Miu Miu for a second time, landing the starring role in its fall 2012 campaign after modeling for the brand 16 years ago.
Miu Miu‘s Spring 2012 ads have been brightening up the pages of our glossies for the past few months now with their cheerful hot-pink-and-canary-yellow backgrounds and plenty of print-happy pieces. Now the brand has released a video to accompany the campaign, starring Australian actress Mia Wasikowska, and, yes, it is just as colorful as the print versions.
It’s officially awards season, which means that between now and March, there’s basically a red carpet event every other night. Last night, style stars like Emma Stone, Tilda Swinton, Rooney Mara, and Chloe Moretz (among many, many others) stepped out for the National Board of Review Awards Gala in everything from Miu Miu to J. Mendel. But with the Golden Globes just around the corner, who’s setting the style bar the highest?
With the Golden Globes less than a week away, some of Hollywood’s biggest (and most stylish!) stars took a red carpet warm up lap at the Palm Springs Film Festival Saturday night. While the colors were a little muted — lots of black, beige, and navy — the designs weren’t. Olivia Wilde and Michelle Williams tied for our favorite looks in lace-backed Monique Lhuillier and sequin embellished Miu Miu, respectively.
This was the week we finally saw the Twilight wedding dress. We also saw offensive billboards, tween thongs, and Thanksgiving style advice. But also awesome puppies! And Muppets! And Obamas!
The Miu Miu ad featuring Hailee Steinfeld crying on a railroad track has been banned, but why? She’s not underdressed, or even inappropriately dressed. Nor is she too skinny or clutching a flower-shaped perfume bottle to her private parts or posed in a compromising position.
In light of recent events — namely, Thursday Friday thumbing its nose at Chanel — We think it’s finally time to discuss some of the legal issues surrounding T/F’s meta-fashion. So strap in.
When it comes to teenage style heroes, Tavi Gevinson and Hailee Steinfeld rank pretty high on our current list. And last night they met! Mind-blowing!
We adored the first ad from Hailee Steinfeld‘s Miu Miu campaign, and the rest of the images certainly do not disappoint! Is it weird that we want to be a 14-year-old?
Hailee Steinfeld is one of the coolest 14-year-olds we (don’t actually) know. Not only does she have ridiculous acting chops, she’s also become an A-list celebrity with seriously enviable style. Miuccia Prada certainly agrees, as she’s just named Steinfeld the new face of Miu Miu.
Britain’s Advertising Standards Authority is normally pretty quick to ban ads people complain about. But when it received angry letters about the model in Miu Miu‘s spring ad campaign being too thin, it made a mildly surprising decision not to pull the ad from public view.
Sally Singer is getting into the swing of things at T Magazine, The New York Times‘ fashion glossy she took over about a month ago. The Times Company issued a press release not too long ago announcing the hire of Michelle Sanders as fashion director and Jacob Brown as features director.
We love Miu Miu. And, to be honest, the more we look at this dress the more we realize it’s actually kind of cute. But in that very specific, hyper-idealized way in that no one other than Rachel Bilson — maybe — can pull it off. Which is why we’re trying to figure out what Mischa Barton was thinking when she put this on and left the house.
Great Scot! Yet another August cover for the appliquéd Miu Miu dress. The brand’s press office must have been hustling hard this summer.
If you are someone who looks forward to the changing of seasons primarily for fashion purposes (like moi), you understand just how important a well-curated summer ensemble truly is. After all, it is not as if we get to break out our jumpsuits, kaftans and sun hats all year-round… but a girl can dream. Taking full advantage of the mah-jor heat wave that is upon us, I say we all give our favorite seasonal pieces—like today’s featured Miu Miu Espadrilles—the attention they deserve!
