Hollywood and fashion A-listers went all out for last night’s Chanel-sponsored celebration of director Pedro Almodovar at New York City’s Museum of Modern Art. Accordingly, almost everyone wore Chanel, though Chloe Moretz, in a champagne pink dress with textured sequin leggings absolutely stole the show.
M.I.A.’s heavily anticipated third full-length album “/\/\/\V/\” drops today. (The album is pronounced “Maya.”) And while she’s certainly known for her melting pot of sounds and vocal techniques, her fashion presence is difficult to ignore. Sometimes it’s fun and playful like her Jean-Charles De Castelbajac shark dress — and sometimes seizure-inducing, like the neon tribal, flashing print madness in her “Boyz” music video. But when your music sounds like a bonfire blast of dubstep, bhangra, hip-hop, house, and punk, you can get away with outfits that are equally as eclectic.
