If you couldn’t tell from our liveblog, the MTV Video Music Awards red carpet was kind of a mess. Not only was it not red (it was white), but it was poorly organized and, generally speaking, poorly dressed. But because we never turn down an excuse for a red white carpet round-up, here it is. From Katy Perry to Ke$ha, Justin Bieber to Jared Leto, this is what they wore.

Well, and there you have it. Lady Gaga has officially outdone herself. Last week, photos leaked of Gaga covered in nothing but meat for an alleged Vogue Hommes Japan cover. Tonight, as her third MTV Video Music Awards ensemble, Gaga wore a dress made of, you guessed it!, meat — which she paired with a “meat purse” and shoes wrapped in meat, wrapped in butcher’s twine.

As predicted, Lady Gaga stunned on Sunday night’s MTV Video Music Awards red carpet. Amid the chaos of fashion week and the sartorial disasters that were the rest of the attendees, Gaga stepped out in a breath-taking, baroque, and statuesque gown from Alexander McQueen‘s final collection — headpiece and all.

As much as we love Fashion Week, it’s always nice to take a break from an industry that takes itself very seriously, sartorially speaking, to one that, well, doesn’t.
