Top Models Take On LA For The August Issue of Vogue Paris

vogueparis

The Vogue Paris cover photo of Lara Stone released last week was just a small window into one of the most stunning spreads of the summer. Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin photographed a star-studded group of supermodels for Vogue Paris’ August issue. Styled by Emmanuelle Alt, Suzanne Koller and Melanie Ward, the models wear gorgeous designs from Miu Miu, Stella McCartney, Lanvin and Missoni.

BREAKING: Brights are in for spring. That’s the lesson we think we’re supposed to learn from the cover of the newest edition of French Elle. What else are we supposed to take away from the bifold? Well, the 70s are here again (again!), the Farah Fawcett haircut still reigns supreme after all these years, and if your bangles aren’t dyed to match your platform espadrilles, they don’t deserve to see the light of day.

Despite the copious amounts of beauty we consume everyday here at Styleite, we’re still fully and legitimately stunned by the first image from the Lanvin for H&M ad campaign. And why? Because it’s stunning. Duh.

PHOTOS: V Magazine Puts Terry Richardson To Shame

We applaud edgy. We love irreverent. But sometimes fashion editorials go a bit too far. They make us cringe, squirm and generally feel really, really uncomfortable. Case in point: Mario Sorrenti‘s latest spread for V Magazine. Titled “City of God” and starring model Natasha Poly, the shocking images apparently pay tribute to Chilean filmmaker Alejandro Jodorowsky known for his “violently surreal” imagery. Yeah, that’s one way to put it.

This Spread Looks Like That Spread, French Vogue Edition

0-vs

We’d normally argue that French Vogue can do no wrong, but Carine Roitfeld‘s unadulterated love for skeezeball extraordinaire Terry Richardson is starting to grate on us. Though we’ve been eagerly awaiting details from the glossy’s September issue — which features an envy-inducingly gorgeous Marion Cotillard on the cover — we were a little disappointed in Corps d’Elite, one of the issue’s fashion editorials featuring Natasha Poly and shot by Richardson. Does anyone else think it looks really familiar?
