Nicole Richie Page 2
Coachella is all about music, obviously, but it’s also all about FASHION. The festival is a veritable celeb playground, crawling with actors and musicians and reality stars all in their weekend-in-the-desert best.
It’s fun when formerly crazy socialites grow up and get real jobs and become people you’d actually want to be when you grow up, isn’t it? This video is proof positive that that’s what’s happened to Nicole Richie, who used to be famous for being Paris Hilton‘s sidekick. Nowadays, she’s developing the legitimate (and actually really well done) labels House of Harlow 1960 and Winter Kate.
Despite being less than one year old, we’ve written and published over 3,200 stories in 2010 — an accomplishment due in no small part to our debatably healthy obsession with the topic at hand, our indefatigable interns, our ingenious contributors, and, most importantly, the support of our readers. Which is why, instead of picking our ten favorite posts of the year, we picked your favorite posts of the year. The numbers don’t lie — and these ones reveal some very interesting things.
This week Carine shocked the fashion world by stepping down from Vogue Paris, Nicole Richie‘s wedding dress was a thing we coveted and Kate and Will got called out on their Photoshopped pics. Whatever, we’re just really glad we don’t work for UBS.
And now the moment you’ve all been waiting for: Nicole Richie‘s wedding pictures are here! The photos popped up in both People and German gossip rag In, and we got our hands on the scans courtesy of Fashionista and The Daily Truffle.
It’s not uncommon for celebrities to sell exclusive wedding or baby photo rights to magazines for major dough. But even when the stars give the money to charity, the idea of selling such special pictures always seems, well, a bit tacky. Alas, Nicole Richie is the latest celeb to be the subject of wedding photo drama.
Have you ever heard of Yo Gabba Gabba? No? Yeah, we hadn’t either until about five minutes ago. Apparently it’s a super popular kids’ show on Nick Jr., and now the cast is on a tour of sorts. Why is this relevant? Because the Los Angeles leg of the tour had celebrities — and their cute kids — out in droves.
Admittedly, we don’t look our best when we travel. We generally opt for comfort (read: no heels, please), and more often than not come off the plane looking a little less than fresh (one day we’ll fly first class, we tell ya!). A week or so ago we came across some amazing pictures of Lady Gaga at LAX, and ever since we’ve been thinking a lot about airport fashion.
Despite having no less than four chances, it appears that perennial jailbird Lindsay Lohan has not quite managed to master the art of the mugshot pose — especially when compared to her prison cell prone compatriots Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie. Let’s take a look!
LA’s favorite celebutante boutique Kitson has been sued by none other than LA’s favorite celebutante Nicole Richie, and now they’re firing back with their own allegations.
Is it just us, or does the British press have the market cornered on snarky profiles? In a lengthy piece for London’s Daily Telegraph, Kate Finnegan treats subject Nicole Richie as though she’s a hostile witness in a war crimes trial. (No offense, Naomi.)
Just when we had begun to entertain the idea that Lindsay Lohan would be wearing her SCRAM bracelet forever, the actress-cum-singer-cum-hot mess went back to court for her probation hearing today. She kept it pretty simple in a black shirt and pants, but her look got us wondering if celebrities ever wore any color to the courthouse. The answer is a resounding no.
Monday night marked the single biggest event on fashion’s yearly calendar: The Metropolitan Museum’s Costume Institute Gala. The theme this year was American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity and, appropriately, focused on American style through the ages. We’ve touched on some historical icons and wondered how exactly the Gap — this year’s sponsor — was going to pull off outfitting stars for the red carpet, but the photos are up and the guests have made it past the very velvet rope, so now the fun part begins.
Can you picture Nate Archibald…I mean, Chace Crawford, guzzling down double espressos to make a deadline before the next month’s big issue is slated to go to print? We all know Chace as the character in Gossip Girl who knows how to dress — and now he’s taking his fashion sense to a new level by guest editing Grazia Daily for the week.
