Why Misha Nonoo Would Design Maternity For Herself Before Kate
Walking into the Nonoo presentation on Tuesday afternoon was like taking a trip to Russia with a British bestie. We were met at the entrance of the High Line Room at the Standard Hotel by a hot male model dressed in a military uniform, while female models in layered and furry ensembles stood in a row, and cater waiters passed around mini meat pies and tea. Every so often, the male model would escort two of the models to switch their positions, sort of a changing of the guards, if you will. We chatted with designer Misha Nonoo about her fall collection, and of course, Kate Middleton.

One downside to the one-season-ahead fashion cycle is seeing designers present the most covetable of spring wares just as we prepare to pull the jackets and scarves out from the depths of our closets. This was just the case yesterday, as we gazed longingly at the crisp summer whites, palm print dresses, and brightly-colored shorts at Nonoo‘s Spring presentation.
