Nordstrom Page 1
We don’t know about you, but makes us feel better about shopping than when we’re shopping with a company that tries to effect social good.
We applaud any company that breaks the mold when it comes to campaign models, but it’s especially great to see a major mass retailer like Nordstrom employing people who represent a wide range of shapes, colors, and abilities (they don’t have cookie-cutter customers, after all). Their latest laudable casting choice is Angela Rockwood, a gorgeous wheelchair-bound model and one of the stars of Sundance Channel‘s Push Girls, which airs tonight at 10 p.m.
Jason Wu, the designer who shot onto the fashion A-list thanks in part to Michelle Obama, is partnering up with Nordstrom on a younger, hipper diffusion line called Miss Wu, set to hit stores in spring.
Uhhh, this is just a little weird.
Mirror, mirror on the wall, what store is the most luxurious of them all? Nordstrom, apparently.
For all the controversy surrounding some child models, it gives us great pleasure to dote on the latest pint-sized star. His name is Ryan, and he has Down syndrome.
Katy Perry says she has over 100 beauty products on her makeup counter, so it’s pretty hard to argue with her when she calls herself a “beauty whore.” And what’s a pop singer and summer hit-maker to do when you have an aforementioned title to live up to? Release your own fragrance, of course!
It’s the health discovery heard ’round the world — in the BCBGs, the Nordstroms, the lifestyle shopping centers popping up on every corner of suburbia — and it’s making us realize why the caged bird sings. Okay, not really, but we are starting to make sense of the boyfriends and brothers who sit gloomily in loveseats and on benches of retail stores everywhere.
We normally try to stay away from movie tie-in clothing. Not because we wouldn’t proudly wear our Shrek 2 promotional t-shirts in public, but because the duds produced to increase a movie’s merchandise sales generally aren’t that high quality or fashionable. But, if we’re being honest, the clothes inspired by the upcoming Twilight: Eclipse movie are actually pretty wearable.
Starting on May 15th and in honor of the third installment of the Twilight series, Nordstrom’s will once again sell exclusive clothing inspired by the ladies of the series.
