Three makes a trend, and white + skin is officially our new combo uniform for summer. Well, on two days a week anyway. And maybe after 6:00 PM, on evenings when we don’t head straight home to sit in front of the A/C in our underwear eating Ben & Jerry’s.
Olivia Munn’s keen sense when it comes to video games and politics has often held true for her red carpet fashion, and while her latest choice for The Newsroom’s Season 2 premiere has many complaining about one random strand of chest lace, we’re kind of digging it. Perhaps, we should prerequisite this by declaring our love for Thakoon, who created this slinky Resort 2014 number, but at the end of the day we think this was a cool take on LBD that’s totally refreshing.
Once again, last night’s red carpet looks were below par. It’s to be expected since everyone is saving their Sunday best for the Oscars this coming weekend. But still — well, let’s dissect the looks.
Ok, so we’ll kick things off by expressing our disappointment that no one got quite as festive as Allison Williams on the red carpet last night. Where the jingle bells at, amiright? That’s not to say there weren’t some winners out there, though.
It was a mixed bag on last night’s various red carpet events. Lindsey Wixson, Susan Sarandon, and Nelly Furtado attended swanky events in New York, while Olivia Munn was at yet another movie premiere in Los Angeles.
Lots of celebrities descended upon San Diego’s favorite nerd haven this weekend. We’ve got the scoop on the convention’s most eye-catching looks.
Last night, Penelope Cruz, Anja Rubik, and Ricky and Ralph Lauren attended a screening of Woody Allen‘s To Rome With Love in New York, while Kristin Davis, Olivia Munn, and Jane Fonda walked the red carpet for the premiere of HBO‘s new series The Newsroom in Los Angeles. Which coast had better fashion?
Between the Tribeca Film Festival, The Avengers‘ London premiere, the opening of the Mercedes-Benz Transmission LA: AV Club exhibit at MOCA, and no shortage of screenings, celebrities everywhere were out in full force and across the globe.
For a red carpet that we would characterize as fairly vanilla, there were still some looks from last night’s Emmy Awards that we found sartorially offensive.
Our Idiot Brother bowed last night in Los Angeles, giving its lady castmembers a delightful excuse to get all dolled up for the red carpet. The fact that Zooey Deschanel, Rashida Jones, Olivia Munn, and Elizabeth Banks are all hilarious notwithstanding, their ensembles were varying degrees of fun, flirty, and playfully risky. Which means this makes our poll and gallery all the more exciting: who do you think was best dressed?
A bevy of stars, models, and bold-faced names stepped out for last night’s opening of “Le Compte Ory” at New York City’s Metropolitan Opera. And while Claire Danes, Mary Kate Olsen, Ashley Olsen, Raquel Zimmermann, Olivia Munn, Emmy Rossum, and Rebecca Hall already make for a competitive red carpet, the fact that every one of them was dressed by YSL makes the competition even closer.
Last week Maxim covergirl and Daily Show correspondent Olivia Munn stopped by the Fourth Hour of the Today Show to chug wine with Kathy Lee and Hoda, while debating the censorship merits of her lacy men’s mag covershot.
What a week! Kristen Stewart landed a Vogue cover, Karl Lagerfeld said some mean things and Rachel Zoe may have gotten into hot water. We saw a Black Swan spoof, a bald beauty queen and even some pubes! Oh, and waxing your 5-year-old is not okay.
We understand that there’s a pretty thin line between most lad magazines and, well, Penthouse — but that doesn’t mean publications like Stuff and FHM should be called pornography. Or does it? That’s the debate American cultural minders are having over Olivia Munn‘s new cover for Maxim, which features the comic wearing a t-shirt and some very sheer blue lace underwear.
