Saint Laurent Paris Is Not Impressed With Women’s Wear Daily

Last week, Women’s Wear Daily published several oddly-timed stories about Paris Fashion Week. One piece by Miles Socha compared Hedi Slimane‘s Saint Laurent debut to Raf Simons‘ Christian Dior ready-to-wear. The general verdict is that everyone loved Simons’ collection, while Slimane’s collection was well-reviewed by retailers, but not so much by critics like Cathy Horyn. Naturally, the crew at Saint Laurent Paris didn’t like the article, so CEO Paul Deneve sent in a letter to the editors at WWD.
