It’s Memorial Day weekend, which means the dog days of summer are almost upon us! Let’s ring in the season with some very fashionable pooches.
Pucci designer Peter Dundas walks Harper’s Bazaar through a sample twenty-four hour day in his life, and while there are the usual high fashion quirks (“I prefer sleeping naked. I like men’s pajamas on women, but I don’t like them on men”), the best part is hearing about the high-flying hijinks he goes through just to get to work every day.
Being Lady Gaga must be so very strange. Not only does she feel the need to travel by egg and birth guns in music videos, but she’s quite possibly one of the most famous people in the world — so famous, in fact, that some of her biggest fans are they themselves quite famous.
Writer Caroline Weber was really just trying to do her job when she asked former Vogue Paris editor Carine Roitfeld to talk about Peter Dundas, who designed the Pucci dress she was wearing to her daughter’s 30th birthday party last November. And in what we would have thought was an uncharacteristic bout of bitchiness, Roitfeld kind of verbally shoved Miss Weber aside.
At last night’s Los Angeles premiere for her new movie, “A-Team,” Jessica Biel stepped out on the red carpet in a white, peek-a-boo, Grecian-style gown. But what was almost weirder than whatever twist tie business was happening up top, is that the solid column was made by none other than purveyor of all things loud, swirly and psychedelic: Emilio Pucci. Somewhere Rachel Zoe is dyyying.
In what may be the most exciting news of the day, Ungaro has finally decided to clean up the mess that has surrounded the brand by hiring a new head designer who has actual design experience — what a concept. On Sunday, Fashionista spotted a tweet from JCReport editor Jason Campbell claiming designer Giles Deacon has officially been welcomed to the Ungaro family.
