Not too long ago, our sister site Mediate wrote about Comedy Central’s new logo. When we saw it, we thought it was a joke. Because the new design doesn’t look like it belongs to a channel where you can watch people be funny and offensive (we’re talking to you, Daniel Tosh) so much as it does a high-end clothing line. And not just any high end clothing line, but the premiere high-end French clothing line, Chanel.

We loved designer Erin Fetherston’s shimmery gold look for last night’s Costume Institute Gala so much that we even gave her a spot on our best-dressed list. In an industry dying to be saved, maybe a little edginess could go a long way. If Elle UK’s June 2010 cover is any indication, editor in chief Lorraine Candy thinks so as well. The magazine’s June cover displays a much more artsy aesthetic with a completely blurred and softly stunning photograph of Kylie Minogue.
