Fragrance reviews are silly, but sometimes, fragrance marketing is even sillier. What do “playful pastimes” and “nostalgia” really smell like? So from now on, we’ll be crowdsourcing our own fragrance reviews. Read on to find out what our office thought about the latest sample to land on our desk. This week, we’re testing out Prada Infusion d’Iris
Based on the fashion-sphere’s current obsessions (The Great Gatsby and the Met Gala, natch), we keep half expecting people to show up to parties dressed like Daisy Buchanan, Johnny Rotten, or some creative hybrid of the two. But even at last night’s Gatsby-themed party at the Prada store in Soho, most of the attendees opted not to nod to the Roaring Twenties. Saving their flapper gear for the premieres, perhaps?
We all know by now that Miuccia Prada pulled pieces from her Prada and Miu Miu archives for The Great Gatsby costumes. The designer supplied 40 looks for the upcoming movie’s two party scenes, and surprisingly, she never even designed her collections with the 1920s in mind.

We’ve seen two trailers for The Great Gatsby, and bits and pieces of the elaborate costuming before. Baz Luhrmann tapped Miuccia Prada to design over forty looks for the movie, and now, we’ve got the first four sketches right here.
Kerry Washington has always looked good on the red carpet, but she has been nailing it for Django Unchained these past few premieres. As such, we’d like to take a few moments to drool over every single one.
When it comes to model casting, Prada is it. Forget the face that launched a thousand ships, this is the brand that launched a thousand faces. So we’re thrilled to see that for its Spring 2013 campaign, the house has brought back some of its biggest stars from seasons past.
When it comes to handbags, we usually go for the classics — neutral colors, nothing too flashy, and something we can wear everyday. But when we spotted this gorgeous studded bag by Prada, our hearts skipped a beat.
After a lengthy legal battle, ex-Prada Japan retail manager Rina Bovrisse has seen the case that she filed against her former employer rejected by a Tokyo District Court.
Let’s play a little game, shall we?
