Queen Elizabeth has updated the Order of Precedence, which lists the hierarchy within the Royal Household, and the change affects our precious Kate Middleton.
Today marked the third day of the annual Royal Ascot, in which fancy British people wear fancy hats to watch fancy horses race.
The hats at today’s Royal Ascot races were far more subdued than yesterday’s wacky and tacky styles, so today we’re focusing on the “Royal” part of things.
Today marks the start of the Royal Ascot, a five-day
hat horse race. The royal family (minus Prince William, Prince Harry, and Kate Middleton), notable Brits, and other Brits headed to Berkshire to watch animals run around, but we’ve got our eyes on their toppers.
Another day, another fancy royal event.
Queen Elizabeth had an exciting day today!
Queen Elizabeth is always quite fancy, but sometimes she’s truly the fanciest lady in all the land, as is the case today.
Yesterday the royal family celebrated Queen Elizabeth II‘s 85th birthday with a fancy procession at Buckingham Palace. Today they celebrated Prince Philip‘s 90th birthday with a church service and reception at Windsor Castle. This was certainly not as fancy, but a church service means church hats!

First Lady Michelle Obama made an inspired style choice Tuesday night when she arrived at London’s Buckingham Palace for a state banquet in a full-length, ivory gown by Tom Ford — complete with matching gloves.
Clarence House has just released the official royal wedding pictures, and we have them right here!
If the royal wedding is good for anything (and it is good for lots of things!), it’s getting the whole royal family together so that they can be royally royal all in the same place! So many princes, and even more princesses! And some queens! No kings though. Hmmmm.
